Hello everyone,
Maybe there's someone here who could answer a couple of questions.

I'm going to be sponsoring my girlfriend(conjugal partner) of 2 years.

1.  She is here in Canada on a visitors visa(6 months), we will submit the application before her 6 months is up
up.  After that, will she have to leave the country for a while or is she granted more time as she awaits an answer from CIC?

2.  Do we notarize the statutory decleration letters or have the people who write them notarize them?

3.  Do the pictures we submit of us have to be in color or can they be black and white copies?

Thank you in advance for any help!

She can apply to extend her stay.

The people who write them should get them notarized.

Your photos you submit to prove your relationship is genuine can be colour or black and white, originals or copies.

The purpose of the notary is to verify/witness the identity and signature of person signing the declaration. So, the persons writing them will have to get them notarized.

Just a quick question, are you sure you qualify for the conjugal partner class? If she is here as a visitor, I suspect they will think no immigration barrier to the common law requirement.

Thanks for your reply.
I think I meant to write common-law instead of conjugal partner. We're applying under common law.
