When I graduated with a bachelors degree, I got a job as a software engineer back in 2001.  Now I know that this is not required job under the qualifying occupations list and I don't plan on using it.

However, my question is this - do I need to send a work experience letter from my software company to evidence that I was working there even though it isn't a qualifying occupation?  Or can I get by with providing letters from the other jobs which are one of the required qualifying occupations?

(Hope this post makes sense.)

Dear thereds,

It is better that you provide work exp letters for all your jobs that you have held for the past 10 years (before that it is not reqd). But in case it is very difficult for you to get the work exp cert from your software company, you may submit the appointment letter. But make sure you provide for past 2 jobs at least.

How many jobs have you held in the past 10 years?
How many years per job?
What were the job titles?

With answers to these 3 questions, your case will be clearer and you can get better advice. Post your query with relevant details in the following thread which is meant for MI3 applicants

Good luck to you.

i have experience of 240 weeks (4 and a half year) of continous full time working in my related field of dentistry. during this time i worked for two different hospitals. 8 months in one place and 3 year and 11 months in the other. in both the places i worked for 36 hours per week which was mentioned in my experience letter.
now my question is whether i will be able to claim maximum points for work experience as total hours needed for full time work for four years (which is required for maximum points) is more than what is required. but as per week statistic i was working 1.5 hour less every week. please let me know whoever has the answer to my query. i am very much concerned bout this. regards

NO NEED. send work exp letters of those occupations which fall under your NOC
