Hi,

I have until November 19th to enter Canada. I am planning on going to my native country first. Is it ok to leave the USA to my country before going to settle in Canada?
.....................FYI, I have had pple tell me to go to Canada first, but the problem is I have been out of status in the USA for almost a decade and I know I will not be allowed to re-enter to get my things. I do not want to take 2 kids and heavy luggages to Canada without a place to stay and no JOB.

My second question is as a registered nurse in the USA, do I have to take the board exams in Canada or I can start working right away?
Thirdly, what province or state is good for raising kids, with good schools.

Thank you all.

Having previously known your case:
1. No problems there.
2. No. But, u need to be 'licensed' here as well.
3. Your choice of province shouldn't rest on those 2 factors... these'd be same everywhere.

Going straight to Canada will be cheaper. Shipping your things there will be a huge plus. It will take sometime before you settle but your things can stay in storage until you find an apt. You can also ship things back to your native country. Usually there's no tax on returning nationals clearing goods. Not sure if your country is the same. Find out!
