I wonder if there are special US law where you should declare the money you are taking out of the US?

since i would need to show POF and I plan to bring everything with me, do you know or are you aware if there should be a declaration too before leaving US?

Yes you have to declare to homeland security any funds/financial instruments over $10K

thanks for your reply. at what point should i exactly declare it from here in the US? I'm currently in Los Angeles - do you mean I have to fill up something at LAX airport before I board the plane going to Canada? Please bear with me, i'm a little lost here.
