Question: Photos you give to the doctor?

Me again. So my husband gave 2 photos to the doctor, those are NOT those 8 that he is required to do with his application, Is that a problem? Should those photos be the same as those 8?

The photographs required for the IME (Immigration Medical Exam) are separate than the  ones required for the PR application itself. The DME (designated medical examiner) should advise you how many and what format/dimensions the photographs for the IME are.

In our case the DME requested four (4) photographs, ID card size, for the exam.

I used the same ones. I don't think it should be a problem.

When you make your IME appointment, ask your DME the quantity of photographs and the format/dimensions.

THanks Aneydhar, my husband already went, however the DMP didn´t apparently know anything about spousal sponsorship, they always treated him as if he wanted to immigrate through work permit. She said 2 photos, but now I doubt if that is true for spousal ponsorship.

That's weird but you need to make clear to them what category you're filing under. And they need to adhere to the manual. Anyways, i suggest to get in touch with your VO (here's the list: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp) in your region and ask them what the procedure is for your country of residence.

You can also post a question for other people in this forum specifying which VO you're applying to, someone is bound to have info for you.

thanks, yes they were totally confused and insisted me to bring them an official letter from the canadian embassy. I explained them many times that it is a spousal sponsorship but they wouldn´t listen. I already contacted te embassy here, and I will call the doctor tomorrow to tell them they have to forward me copy 2. I´ll also ask once more about the photos. That´s really frustrating if the DMP doesn´t know what to do.

We asked the DMP specifically and they said it did not matter and that passport size or immigration size was acceptable. We just got extras of the immigration size ones done, and used those. It worked out fine.

waikiki, which visa office is handling your file? Maybe other forum members going through the same VO can give you an opinion or tell about their experience with same office.
