Question on status from CIC

Dear PPM,
Just logged onto CIC to check status.  Regarding my Canadian wife sponsoring me to live in Alberta:

"We started processing your application on October 12, 2007.   We sent you a letter on March 16, 2007 about approval in principle for you to become a Permanent Resident of Canada. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. We sent you a letter on October 12, 2007 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

"Decision made."

Question- we didn't send in our application for sponsorship/PR until sept. 07.   So how can CIC respond when we didn't send until Sept. 07?  What is going on with the March 16th letter (which we never received either.)?

Just very concerned that there is a big mix-up at CIC that is going to cost us time in getting back to my wife's family.

I think these people are cnfused somehow. Just send a mail to them about your observation and let them know that there is a mix up somewhere.
