For question 9, the second box asks whether the applicant has ever applied for a Canadian immigrant or permanent resident visa or a visitor or temporary resident visa?  If I am a work permit holder in Canada, I assume the answer to this is NO.  Is this correct?

My confusion comes from whether a work permit is considered a type of visitor or temporary resident visa.

Thanks

Actually the answer is yes, a work permit is just a visitor permit with the ability to work.

Thanks.  I am glad I asked.  I couldn't find a definition anywhere.  So, I suppose, I just put that I am a work permit holder in the details section below with the details (I am now actually on my second 3 year work permit - I have just been too lazy to do the PR application)
