almost 2 years for my application, think its time to ask for MP's help, questions

1. I can only ask for the MP that covers my district correct?
2. do I simply just call in and tell them I need a inland application update? or is there a form or formal process I need to go through
3. for anyone that have asked for help, do you get any detail answers like what part of the background check is done and what their waiting on? or will the MP tell you the samething CIC agents tell you, like "we are still doing background checK" that sort of thing?

I been stuck at the inland background check for 13month now  Sad

1. Yes find the MP that covers your district and get in contact with them (phone, email)
2. Yes just call in and ask them to get an update of your file. They will ask for your name and most likely the file number.
3. We've asked for help a few times, both times she gave us good advice. Embassies tend to keep silent so the only way you can really know anything is through your MP. She didn't give us detailed updates, just that they are waiting the medicals and finishing up the security check. But it's better to know something rather than nothing.
