Hi All,

I hope this question doesn't seem to stupid, but here it go's anyway.

Myself and my wife applied for PR in march, now we realize we aren't on the list of 38 occupations. My wife has a very good possibility of getting a job offer though and the company has indicated they are prepared to do the LMO so that we can apply for work permits.

My question is.........If we get to Canada on work permits will they process our PR application even though we are not on the list of 38 occupations?

Thanks all,

Regards,

If you have an application already pending, you could ask the employer to give you an AEO instead that you can send in to add to your file which would mean you don't have to be on the list of 38.

If you don't have an application pending, take the LMO, go to Canada and apply as skilled worker from within which would also mean you don't need to be on the list of 38 or once you are in Canada you can also look into PNP and see if that is an option too.
