Hello

I recently applied for a skilled immigration visa to the London Consulate. I simultaneously applied for a job and have just had the happy news that I have been granted an immediate work permit and will fly out to Canada to start work in late July/early August (the sector I worked in has a high demand supposedly). I will however let the skilled worker application run it's course. My question is about my wife. Will she have an automatic right to reside with me as my wife while I am living and working in Canada? I am not too bothered about her right to work, she won't have to, however it is important that we are together.

Thanks for any help

I am not an expert but as far as I have known canada and the foreign workers or students going there from elsewhere, I think your wife ,too, will get to go and live with you. Since  you have still time , you can  get your and wife's documents processed together or you can ask her to join you slightly afterwards.
