My wife is my sponsor(Canadian Citizen), and she has been living in Canada for about 10 months in order to reestablish her residency here, get her health card, etc.  We have an apartment in Toronto.

However we have talked about her returning to the US with me for a while(2 months) to help get our house in the US ready to rent or sell, and just to make the separation easier.  When filling out the paperwork, should I still say that she lives in Canada and no other country, since she has surrendered her green card at this point?  Or should I say that she lives outside the US and will move back when my PR is approved?  Is there a grey area?  I just don't want to do the wrong thing.

Your wife has re-established her residency in Canada, so you don't want to say she's moving back when you receive PR.

So it's fine for her to visit me while we wait?

Yes.  She's a citizen, so there is no requirement for her to be in the country to sponsor you.  But as I said before, having begun to re-establish residency, you don't want to make it look like she's not taken these steps already and leave yourselves with an unnecessary burden of proof.

Ok, thanks for clarifying that.  I really appreciate the advice.
