i am an American citizen with passport, when I mail my application off,...do I mail my passport too?....filling outland but plan on staying with husband in Canada, if I do this i will not be able to re-enter US without it,. I don't believe we will need a interview because we have been married for 8 years.

Just send photocopies of the data page and any date stamps of entries to canada.
Don't send your passport until they ask you for it.
