Hey guys,

I have a question regarding the 'In process' status on E-CAS.

Once you submit documents, the visa office changes the status to 'Received by VO' right? that's when they start checking your file, work references, pof, etc etc. Once that is checked they change the status to 'In process'. Right? Or they do a quick pre-screening first? see if something is missing and if not then they change it to 'In process'

Which one is it? my application went from 'Received by VO' to 'In Process' in less than a day so I was just wondering what happens

do you verified by any visa officer for your job experience or they call your employer for your job verification?

No, I mean they check it out or whatever for everything.

I just want to know the difference between Received by VO and 'In process'

After recieved by VO your status changes to In process only when they have determined that you have filed a complete app.. thats also the point when they have marked you good to go for rest of the process based on your points... this is the point when job verifications start alongwith other personal details.......... it takes about 4 to 5 months and than you will recieve your medicalss as well as another doc reaquirement (only of they want it)... security checks start after they recieve your medicals and process kind of ends at the time they ask for your passports for visa stamping. Read threads by QORAX.. they elaborate it a thousand times better than what i ve written here.
