Can someone clarify a point on the exact fees to be paid for my situation?

I want to sponsor my wife of 7 years and her dependent son who is 13 years old, it will be an outland application since both my wife and I live outside of Canada, and I'm a Citizen. According to the Guide, page 26, I should pay the following:
-   $75 for the sponsorship application
+ $475 for the principal applicant, my wife
+ $150 for her accompanying family member, our dependent son
+ $490 for the Right of Permanent Residence Fee for both.

Which totals $1190, excluding of course Police Records, photographs, and other incidentals. But as far as Immigration related fees, do I have it right?

Can someone with experience please confirm/clarify?

Thanks for your help!

You got it! One thing to note is you are allowed to wait to pay the RPRF until they request it, but DON'T WAIT. Pay it up front. Waiting can add months onto your application process.

Thanks Awor and Kedeisha!! Just needed to be sure that I'm on the right track Wink

Anybody has any suggestion as to the most effective and safe method of payment for Outland applications? I'm a bit nervous about shelling out over 1 grand over the internet...

Thanks to everyone for your kind posts!

Then go to the bank and buy a  bank draft or money order payable through a bank in Canada.  Note it has to be in Canadian funds.

The CIC payment system is hosted on a secure server. It's highly unlikely your information would be stolen. Smiley

Thanks PMM. Would a bank draft/money order payment have any effect on the application processing time? If not, I'd prefer that method of payment. If on the other hand, making online payments result in speedier processing, then I'm all for it.

Thanks and regards.
