If a Canadian Citizen living in Canada sponsors his/her spouse (who lives in US as a student) for Permanent Residence. That means the sponsor submits the application to CPC-M. Then the sponsor moves to the US while the processing is going on, and both do not have an intention to move back to Canada for a couple of years (or not at all), is there any impact on the processing of the application? They are just getting the immigration for stability purposes for the spouse.

The reason I ask this question is that I have heard some of my friends discussing about it.

I am not if this situation is even allowed.

Thanks.
