Query Reg Fund at the Time of Landing

I will be landing at Vancouver in Oct-2009,I have a query regarding fund,I have made a Bank Draft of 8850CAD$ + 2000CAD$ Cash,the total amount comes to 10,850CAD$, for a single person the required fund is  10,833CAD$ , Now my query is :

1>Is it mandatory to carry that required amount of 10,833CAD$?

2>Will the fund in form of Bank Draft + Cash be acceptable to Visa Officer at the Port of entry at Vancouver? or they only consider Bank Draft????

My cousin landed one year ago at Toronto airport. He had funds with Bank Draft in CDN$, some in USD$ bank draft and rest of in cash (canadian dollors). Officials asked him for the funds and check very carefully. They have no objection if you are carrying amount in cash.
