Dont go into your interview with such a negative mindset! You have waited & worked for this stuff so far;

Basic rules of interviews, RESPOND TO QUESTIONS DONT ANSWER THEM. Do not bring up French if not asked - if he speaks in English and does not mention french, only speak in english.

If he brings up french, try your best to understand and respond even if its "oui" or "non" or "peut-etre". Ask him to "parle doucement s'il vous plait". Try your best to understand. Cram basic phrases. Have documented proof of your registration for french classes and french exam maybe delf a1 and only show what you are asked; the basic idea is not to present negative information that may jeorpardize your csq chances if not asked.

For example, my oral french comprehencion is crap but i wont volunteer this information. I will literally sing al the phrases in french i know if presented the opportunity.

Hope this helps and good luck!

  @  anumatri
Talk about Quebec City, Montreal & Hull/ Gatineau and job prospects for your chosen career; you MAY also want to mention Quebec City Winter Carnival tradition held every winter - this major carnival is going on now in Quebec City and state how its very important in Quebec culture to increase your adaptability points. I wish you the best.

Hello everyone
I am so thankful to God. I was able to get CSQ today.
My story in detail below
I came to New York from chicago last night stayed at a hotel in long island city($60 per night). I took the train to manhattan, I took some time to get to the right train station even though I had directions printed from google maps.
My appointment was at 1:30. I arrived at 1. The guy told me to take a seat and wait. The lady came and got be before 1:30, she said bonjour in french I replied bonjour. She said something else in french which I didnt understand but I said thank you and sat down. She came asked me something else in french, I didnt know again, so I told her I am trying to learn french and my french isnt the greatest.
She asked about my experience letters. She was looking for 48 months of experience and I had more than that.
She said why do I want to move to Quebec, why not toronto like most people?
What kind of jobs are available for myself over there?
Have I seen any posting which would fit my experience level?
What tools/websites have I gone to for searching jobs?
She showed me the map and asked me to show where Quebec is?

My advice to the rest of the folk, have faith in God and tell her the truth about everything.
The interview lasted for almost an hour. The lady was a 61 year old person.

zeeshan35 CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Were you asked to provide proof of $2,800 by producing bank statements at this interview.

Should you have the funds at interview time?

They did not ask me for proof of funds. It also does not mention in the interview email either for proof of funds.

anumatri-
I am sorry to hear your application was rejected. I thought you need 55 points to pass, there are 6 points for adaptability all together.
You can try to appeal the decision with knowledge of french, try to take a course in french and pass an exam. This way you will be able to show them proof of french. French has 16 points, by learning some basic french you might be able to pass the appeal.

Buddy, pls note that Quebec needs u. I think u gave up on urself too quick. pls note that there are pple with worst french who had gotten thier CSQ and many more will still get. there are also those who are very good in french who hd also gotten their CSQ. My points is that: IF U THINK U CAN, U CAN and  IF U THINK U CAN"T U ARE ALSO RIGHT.I Think ur attitude and not French might av given u away.
take a french immersion course right away cos u av just 60days from d date of rejection to file for administrative review of ur file.
