QUEBEC INTERVIEW - DAMASCUS OFFICE

Hi Guys,

Need an advice. I had received CSQ interview call  @  Damascus office, Syria. I had confirmed the interview meeting by faxing them. But today I got to learn that I was not granted Syrian Visa. Now what should I do as they have stated in their invitation once confirmed and canceled the interview the file gets closed with further notice. Unless strong evidence provided. Now what is the best way for reschedule my interview. Any assistance..........would be appreciated.

hi, just want to apply for Quebec Immigration. Could you please guide a bit.My questions are

1-what are normal processing times for quebec acceptance and then to get PR? between 1 and 1.5 years.
2-Is French compulsory for Quebec? Do we need to learn before landing? Do we need to submit French Certificate to get acceptance from Quebec? it is not written anywhere that French is compulsory. If you pass the minimum point which is required to fulfill the eligibility then you are eligible. But don't forget that you are going to apply for that province where 70% peoples speak French, so its difficult to prove to Quebec IO that you really intend to settle in Quebec without knowing French. To make your case strong, start learning a French language.  
3-What minmimum level of French is required if complusory? no minimum is required.

can i ask you how you have arranged the payment of 550CAN$ for your PR application.
Actually i have renewed my passports and waiting for the new passport as well as police certificates but now my headache is to obtain a money order DRAWN in canadian bank
I have many friend in US and I contacted many canadian banks if they have any branch in US to arrange this money order ...

Still no serious progress ...

Hi Kia,

As you know I live in Qatar, my bank account is with HSBC. They have arranged every thing for me Bank Draft withdrawn on HSBC Canada.

Anyway, go online and find any Bank Name in Canada, visit your bank and ask them to arrange the draft on that bank, it may cost you extra bucks to do it.

I just want to share with you the latest news, although we have completed our process at Damascus and got our CSQs, currently our file is processed at Abu Dhabi for PR. We have received an e-mail confirming that:

Le ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles informe sa clientèle et ses partenaires que le Bureau d'immigration du Québec à Damas est dorénavant fermé.

Les activités d'immigration qui s'y tenaient sont dorénavant réalisées à partir des bureaux du Ministère à Montréal.

Le Ministère tient à rassurer sa clientèle et ses partenaires quant à son engagement à poursuivre ses opérations en provenance du Moyen-Orient, avec la même diligence, le plus rapidement possible. Les entrevues de sélection menées par le Ministère avec les candidats en provenance du Moyen-Orient seront réalisées sur des territoires voisins facilement accessibles pour la clientèle. Il s'agit d'une pratique courante pour le Ministère sur plusieurs territoires.
Veuillez noter qu'en raison du rapatriement des activités à Montréal, vous recevrez la lettre confirmant l'ouverture de votre dossier dans un délai plus long. Soyez cependant assuré que notre Direction vous fera parvenir cette lettre aussitôt que votre dossier sera ouvert. Celui-ci sera considéré en traitement à partir de ce moment-là. Si votre dossier est en cours de traitement à notre bureau, nous répondrons à votre demande uniquement si le délai de traitement dépasse la norme de service énoncée.

Autrement, notez que nous avons reçu votre message et que le traitement de votre demande suit son cours. N'oubliez pas de tenir compte des délais postaux de votre pays avant de communiquer avec nous pour effectuer un suivi. Votre envoi peut souvent prendre plusieurs semaines à nous parvenir.

I have great news for every one, Finaly we got our Medical Forms few days ago dated 16.08.2011, we have finished medical yesterday 11.09.2011

The Doctor advised that medical documents will be sent to Quebec on 15.09.2011
