Yes, You can claim 6 points for AOT for Msc A/c and Finance only if you are practicing the related job. And your msc degree must not completed more than 5 years back.

I have two concerns here. I will be grateful if you could clear them.

In terms of French Language course. Do we need to submit the scores along with application or I can submit the scores later.

In terns of education points. Please note that I have

Bachelors in Computer computer science  (4 Years)
Masters in Commerce (2 Years)
Msc Accounting and Finance (1 Year)

I know I can get 12 points on the basis of masters, but can I get 6 points in the area of training as my field of practice is business and finance however I did my bachelors in Computer Science.

But the problem is Msc accounting and finance was only for one year that I completed in 2011. However when I check the requirements on Training area it asks for bachelors degree (3 years)

Hello everyone!!

I'm very sorry for repeating myself these questions again but I don't know whom to ask Sad. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!

I have another one related to "stay in Quebec" score. I'm wondering what does it mean by "one regular full-time semester", because in the French document, it's said "une session régulière à temps plain". So how long is it defined? For example, I want to take the French course at Mcgill during winter. The session will be from January 16 to February 24 and will be full-time. Does that make "one regular full-time semester"? Or if I combine that session with another one before it from October 29 to December 7, will that suffice?

Also, I know that if we work in Quebec for more than 3 months, that will give us 5 points as well. I'm wondering though, does it have to be paid? Does volunteer count?

Lastly, I'm very confused as to how to calculate the work experience.

For example, I've worked for a full time job for 1 year but before that I worked part time for 6 months. Does the 6 month experience count at all?

Thank you so much!!!!!

Hi, First of all Many Many congratulations on the good News !!! Smiley

My application reached the Hong Kong Office on 14th Nov, 2011. But, I have not yet received any communication from them (not even my file number). How can I know the status of my application? The consultancy I applied through tells me they will reply within 3 months of application reaching date. But, its been more than 3 months now. Please help. Will they reply through mail or send me a courier?

Hi Preeti,

Fortunately even my application was acknowledged by the HKG office on the 14th Nov. however, even i havent heard anything after that. my consultant says, that it takes atleast 7-8 months, so ideally i should wait till June.. and then expect any further updates. May I know from where are you? I am from Mumbai, India.

Hello Still Hope,

I have a question. I sent my application in the month of August, and received a File number in the month of November. Want to confirm if that File No. itself is the AOR number. My file no. starts with HA. Also, what next should I be expecting now. Would it directly be an interview call? I have submitted all the documents, including my french (DELF A1) and IELTS results.

Your reply on this is much appreciated.

thanks

Hello Visa Expert,

I am currently based in India Working as a SAP Finance & Controlling Consultant. I also have a Master Degree in Accounting from The UK and stayed in UK for nearly 8 years. Do I still need to go for an IELTS for english Language Proficiency and does my Job Category comes under Accounting or Software. I recently checked in the QUEBEC Application form and Software is not included in the Job skills. Your guidance would be highly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Ziyad.

Hi Krups,
You have received your file number in November, that is after 3 months of sending the application. I have sent my application in November and am still awaiting their reply with my file number. Sad

Thanks PreetiR
