Dear Members,

Please Appraise the QSW points for one of my friend interested in applying:

Education -> 10 Points (3 Years Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineer after 12 years of secondary education)
AOT -> 16 Points -> As far as I know it equal to Avionics or Aircraft Construction Techniques (Indian Degree)
Work -> 4 Points (9 Months In Indian Airlines)
Age -> 16 Points (24)
English -> 2 Points (Not yet appeared for IELTS but expected atleast 5)
Financial Self-Sufficiency -> 1 Points
(He is unmarried)
================================================
49 Points -> So total it makes 49 Points
================================================

He earns exactly 49 Points which means he qualifies.

Please let me know if I am wrong somewhere.

And Please let me know if he still need to learn French to qualify Interview if he does not wants to claim points for french ?

Your reply will be really appreciated.

Well, Not right now but I will be applying for the same within a week or two.

Just a suggestion: If your friend does not have any intention to settle in Quebec then ask him not to apply thorough this program. Because ultimately he will now have to learn French and show his intention to settle in Quebec.

Its better if he apply through some other PNP Program or any other which he Qualify for.

Let me know if you have any other questions regarding QSW.

hi , Please let me know if hey are still taking applications for QSW..

Hi, First of all Many Many congratulations on the good News !!! Smiley

My application reached the Hong Kong Office on 14th Nov, 2011. But, I have not yet received any communication from them (not even my file number). How can I know the status of my application? The consultancy I applied through tells me they will reply within 3 months of application reaching date. But, its been more than 3 months now. Please help. Will they reply through mail or send me a courier?

Thanks for your wishes dear,as per my knowledge honk kong is not talking more then 3 months to send AOR, so u better check with your consultant again and if possible send direct email to Honk Kong BIQ regarding your case and third go to your bank and check that { if u paid via Demand Draft } Honk Kong Biq cashed your DD or not, if they cashed your DD then no need to worry your AOR will be on the way. They send AOR via normal mail which take around1-2 months.

Hope this help u.
goodluck

Yes, I have added 4 points for IELTS although its not necessary but it will speedup your process as your AOT is in Fast Track List of QSW so I will suggest not to take any chances. Attach IELTS or TEF whichever is available for now and send your application. And Send your other language proofs once you get the (AOR)/file number.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

I have two concerns here. I will be grateful if you could clear them.

In terms of French Language course. Do we need to submit the scores along with application or I can submit the scores later.

In terns of education points. Please note that I have

Bachelors in Computer computer science  (4 Years)
Masters in Commerce (2 Years)
Msc Accounting and Finance (1 Year)

I know I can get 12 points on the basis of masters, but can I get 6 points in the area of training as my field of practice is business and finance however I did my bachelors in Computer Science.
