Osama,

since stillhope has gone AWOL i'll continue directing these to you.

i need help with what to select regarding french knowledge (this had been explained to me but i've forgotten and i can't seem to find the advice from my messages). Anyway, I have a delf B1 but with a very bad listening score (6.5) and good (23.5) speaking score. Now I want to use my B1 score for speaking points and A2 score for listening points. Is this what I should do? Or should I use B1 for both. And what do I select for B1 and A2? please help...Osama or anyone

2. if i'm filling the form in french, should i write the academic qualifications in english or french. eg should i change masters in... to maitrise en...or just leave it in english

Hi dez, sorry for not getting back to you earlier... I'm not really an expert and I don't wanna mislead you because I also still don't know many things .

Regarding the French level, read the post by ambi175 on this page:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/quebec-applicants-lets-share-experience-t37196.7575.html

Also post most of your questions on that thread since it has more senior members.. And I'll always give you whatever information I am sure of.. Smiley

Good luck:)

Bonjour Stillhope!

Please help me...

I have completed MBA(Finance) from an American University which has a deemed University status, approved by the Board of Regent of state of Louisiana and is in a process of getting its accreditation. It might take long for an accreditation process.

Will my degree be accepted by Quebec gov? Where do i stand in this respect?

Jaja!

Hi....seeking help from STILLHOPE or anybody who can help...

I am from Bangladesh and I am about to submit my application for CSQ as Skilled Worker. Please help me calculate my scores:

(1) TRAINING:
Completed Bachelors of Business Administration (Full time; 4 years). Major - Finance, Minor - Marketing; Primary language of instruction - English  10 + 6 = 16

Currently studying MBA (about to complete 2nd semester, 1st year)
(2) EXPERIENCE:
Working full time for 22 months now. 4
Position - Officer, Sales and Service Quality Assurance, Retail Banking and Wealth Management, HSBC Bangladesh
I'm not sure which NOC code I fall into. I guess it would be Other Financial Officers (1114) right? Do I have to mention the NOC code anywhere in the CSQ application?
(3) AGE:
        23 16

(4) Marital Staus:
        Single

(5) LANGUAGE:
        English - Advanced (IELTS score - 8 ) 6

French - Completed DALF A1 in Sep,11 and passed. Yet to receive the scores 2

(6) Financial Self Sufficiency:
       Sufficient. 1

Do I need to submit any bank certificate/statement. If its statement, will 3 months' statement do? No need to submit your bank statement with your application

Your are scoring 45 points need 49 to apply better clear delf a2 then apply

Please help! I am trying for it all by myself and I'm so confused! Sad

hey! thanks so much! but can you tell me if i can apply now? or maybe in january? in dec i'll complete my 2 years of work, which i think will give me 2 more points. so can i enroll myself for DALF A2 and apply in january with 47 points? or do i need to have full 49 points before applying?

also, is there any quota like the federal skilled workers prog? if i apply in jan, i'm afraid the quota will be almost full and they wont consider me anymore. Sad

its better to have atleast the cutoff scores when you apply. otherwise the risks are too great.
but in your case completing 24 months of experience will get you addl 2 pts.

you can actually apply now. aim at completing the a2 quickly too.

no, there is no quota now

did you mean that your total points is only 24 ? the cutoffs for single & married applicants are 49 & 57 respectively.

currently there is no specific list of 'eligible' professions to apply for the CSQ. but teaching is a regulated profession in canada. Since this is quebec we're talking about, your proficiency in french is also a factor. unless you have excellent french, there is probably no way that you would get yourself into a teaching position.

checmistry on the other hand is a priority area. check it up. when u face your interview this could be one the things that pop up ! food for thought...
