TEF,TEFAQ, TCFQ,TCF are french exams like IELTS exam. If the person is in India then he / she  can give only TEF exam coz it's the only one available in India. To appear for TEF exam, Please contact alliance francaise.

Alliance francaise de delhi conducts TCF(Test de Connaissance du Français),Same is considered by Quebec Govt.

sorry to send some to panic but it's false alarm.

i was looking at the federal application and Quebec is independent of that.

So stillhope, should I recommend to my brother to lodge their application in Buffalo instead of the Philippine for hopefully, faster processing?

thanks

Hello everyone !!
I am new here and i am trying to find out if i have a good chance of being selected for Quebec. I actually wanted to apply for Manitoba but a friend told me that i had better chances if i go the Quebec route .
So can any of you guys who are more familiar with the process tell me the points they think i would have .

I have a Bachelor in information technology with a concentration in software engineering.

Work experience is 10 years  but only  2 related to IT ( Sap administrator -Desk Analyst)

I am 33 years old

Fluent in French

I did my Bachelor in English.

I have my brother living in Quebec

3 kids ( twins 13 and a 8 year old ).

What do you guys think are my chances ? Thanks for helping .

Dear STILLHOPE ,
Would you please help me calculate my points or in your opinion what are my chances of being selected .Thank you for taking your time to help.

Hello STILLHOPE,
Thanks for replying...I won't be applying with my spouse for the Quebec selection process it will be for me and my kids.
My two years experience is from 2009 until now.
I am very fluent in French i am from a french speaking country ,i would say that my English is advance ...My work is an English speaking environment.
Bachelor degree on the IT field ( From the United States )
I have a brother living in Quebec .
And 3 kids 2 are 13 and one under 12 .
Do you think i will need to provide proof for language or will my school record be enough ? (I  completed elementary and high school in French,College in English). Thanks for helping.

yes u can apply as a single applicant, u can send your application any time and i m sure as per your detail above chances for interview is very low in your case. i dont want to make your point because your positive thing is your french so go for it.

stillhope  what do you think  is the difference between an applcation with french exam and non..
do  you think interview will be waived? like you get 51 points including 2 points for the french exam.. (excluding the adaptability which is 4-6 points)  will you be still given a schedule for an interview? cuz I am "thinkin" about taking e TEFAQ next month, and will have to lodge  my papers end of november.. though my decision is not final yet, ... what do you think? because i have only completed my 100 hours and i am not enrolling for the 3rd module which is another 50 hours.. but i continue to learn french..like reading and reviewing the lessons in class and  learning online..
My documents are almost complete now i just have to review everything...  without my french i get 49 points.  So i was thinkin about takin the french exam before i lodge it or  not...  Wink

Hello STILLHOPE and all forum members,

Thanks for all your inputs so far and please consider my question as well.

My spouse, principal applicant: 32, Bachelor in Europe, Associate Degree from US in nursing, registered nurse > 3 years, IELTS advanced, TEFaQ advanced
Myself: 28, BS Math and Comp Science from US, actuarial analyst for 3 years in US.

If we want to apply for CSQ asap, can we send without any language exams for me in we have enough points? Should I claim my English (advanced) and French (intermediate) skills if I don't submit any test results?

Thanks a lot and good luck to all!!!

thanks
