Dear STILLHOPE,

Thanks for your response and PM.

I have few more enquiries:

1.  I  have still to appear for my Delf A2 and B1 exam  and holding currently A1 certificate only . Will it be wise to send my application without French language certificates  .

My points without french langauge comes to 55 in total only  . Will they return my application without minimum 57.

Should not i wait for my exam results and then apply .

2. In second case, if i send my application with A1 result only and write a cover note that i am continuously learning French and shortly appearing for the exams A2/B1 . Will that be okay with them .   I am keen on opting this choice if there is no problem with this option as i am confident that i will  be able to submit the required French proficiency level in next 3 to 4 months.

Pls. advise on the better way out.

Thanks

 @   STILLHOPE

To clarify further , i have done MBA with specialisation in Marketing and have work experience of over 11 years in Business development area in well known MNCs.

no problem in doing this. infact this is what most people do !

just mark the level that you think you will achieve within 1 year from date of application. and send it off.

Hello everyone !!
I am new here and i am trying to find out if i have a good chance of being selected for Quebec. I actually wanted to apply for Manitoba but a friend told me that i had better chances if i go the Quebec route .
So can any of you guys who are more familiar with the process tell me the points they think i would have .

I have a Bachelor in information technology with a concentration in software engineering.

Work experience is 10 years  but only  2 related to IT ( Sap administrator -Desk Analyst)

I am 33 years old

Fluent in French

I did my Bachelor in English.

I have my brother living in Quebec

3 kids ( twins 13 and a 8 year old ).

What do you guys think are my chances ? Thanks for helping .

Thanks for your response and PM.

I have few more enquiries:

1.  I  have still to appear for my Delf A2 and B1 exam  and holding currently A1 certificate only . Will it be wise to send my application without French language certificates  . no, better attach your a1 certificate with your application so they know that u r learning french and take a letter from your institute that you already attended so and so hours classes and attach with your application.

My points without french langauge comes to 55 in total only  . Will they return my application without minimum 57. no, but u already pass your delf a1 certificate so attach with your application then u will get 2 points from french then your score become know 57

Should not i wait for my exam results and then apply . no need to wait send your application now and update your file later

2. In second case, if i send my application with A1 result only and write a cover note that i am continuously learning French and shortly appearing for the exams A2/B1 . Will that be okay with them . yes    I am keen on opting this choice if there is no problem with this option as i am confident that i will  be able to submit the required French proficiency level in next 3 to 4 months. when u pass your any exam then just update your file  sending your result so can they give u points for your language

Pls. advise on the better way out.

Thanks

Dear Stillhope,

I sent my CSQ application, check was cashed and am waiting now. Does check being cashed automatically imply selection (either with or without interview)? Have you seen any case where check was cashed but eventually, the application was rejected?

Check cashing => Application is processed. Processing is adjudication of your case and could be either selection or rejection. Wait and hear from them or email them asking the same.

check being cashed means that the appl was received and placed in queue for processsing. they most likely havent even looked at the docs.
we've a loong way to go bro. patience.

Stillhope,

If the current total point I score is not at the minimum level i.e 57 but I am working on improving it by learning french/ I need to reach B1 and havent given any exam for french yet . Do you reckon I should send the application along with a receipt from AF that I am learning & update the file as I clear each exam?

Hi, I am happy to see this forum very much active.
I live in Canada and now I am trying my best to get my friend here. I came here around say 4 months back. I can do anything possible from my side.

He is married and anyone of them can apply as primary applicant as per your suggestion

Details of my friend are as below:
Country:         India
Age:              28yrs
Qualification:   Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering
Experience:     4 Years
Experience Area: Computer software Testing (Information Technology)
English Level:      Intermediate-Advance

His spouse details:
Country:         India
Age:              28yrs
Qualification:   Masters Degree in Computer Science
Experience:     3 Years
Experience Area: Computer software Testing (Information Technology)
English Level:      Intermediate-Advance

We have searched for possible options and there are so many things in mind. One option came to us is to apply under Quebec Skilled worker. Kindly advice for few questions as below and any other additional information will be great.

1. Is the occupation mentioned above is governed by a regulatory body?
If yes, I heard there are some exams to get license. Are those exams are required for everyone coming to Quebec or only if you want to do a job which is regulated by government?
Is it possible if they apply and get into Quebec and start some other job which is not regulated and doesn't require license?
or anything else about this as this part is not clear at all..

2. They can take French classes before applying, is that good practice? or just not required?

3. If they get visa and then PR and then move to other province in Canada after 2-3 months. Is that possible or they would have some restriction on moving.

I greatly appreciate your time and response in advance. Thanks a lot..
