hi seniors,

I would like to apply for CSQ by myself but I am confusing with documents that everything that I am provided is correct or wrong. How to prepare C.V resume, Is any specific format to prepare. I have done MBA(U.K) and BE(Civil) from India. from 2007 till now i am working as project manager in same company. Is the Civil Engineer is in demand list do u have any idea? Does it make my application sooner? In Hyderabad,India I went to a consultant yesterday he was telling about Quebec that it is very small and corner place in Canada. The weather is not good, earning and employment rate is bad.. IS THIS TRUE?

please suggest me and share ur ideas.

merci......

I have a question and I am hoping someone on this forum can answer it. I applied for my CSQ in August '11 (sent August 11 via U.S. mail) and I'm not really sure of the receipt time though I'd imagine it was probably around August 20th or so given my distance from Montréal. Immigration Québec charged my credit card on September 20th 2011 and I have yet to receive an acknowledgement or a file number. Anyone know if I will be receiving that soon? Also, is it typical for one's file to be opened and charged in just under a month? It seems quick. What factors could've influenced it being processed so quickly?

Another question I have is, do studies in French at the secondary and post secondary level count towards proficiency? I have spoken French since I was around 10 (parents and self taught initially) and I studied it all throughout high school and I took 24 hrs (slightly over a minor and never anything lower than an "A.") in university. I received credit for five classes via "advanced placement" due to having an already high proficiency and this is reflected on my transcript. Do you think this will suffice?

I appreciate any responses to my question!

Thanks

Hi Stillhope, mkshah and everybody.

i'm back again, seeking your valuable assistance.

my delf B1 results are coming out sometime next week and i've started putting together my application. i just wanted to ask those who have gone thro' the process successfully (like stillhope) or anyone whose submitted their applications the following:

1.employment- what supporting documents are absolutely necessary to send, especially for that experience whose points you are claiming?  appointment letter, employment certificate, description of duties, payslips (first, middle, last), social security contribution records. that's the list i have in mind. did you send all those? i am particularly interested in knowing about social security contributions.

2. self sufficiency. i'm planning on including a bank stt/ bank certificate.. what is the minimum amount required (cdn$ 5000 ?) and is it absolutely necessary at this point? i know you need to sign the commitment but i was wondering if you need to support it with a bank stt.

thanks all for your anticipated response(s)

I m sure he will be eligeble but first give these details so we can caluculate his points properly still you havnt given answer to my question, nevermind i roughly calculte your points as per detail given to me if u prove that the work u r doing in bank related to your b.com studies then u will get 6+6 = 12, and if u apply on the basis of your post graduate diploma then u will get 4 points maximum. so my sugestion try to prove that your job is related to your b.com
Work experience more than 10 years. 8
currently working as a operations manager in bank
age 34 16
Ielts 7.5 band 6
French will join course very soon 0

your chanes are very low, if u do few things then may be u can eligeble to apply
1    That he can prove work he is doing in bank related to his b.com
2   Principall applicant must clear his delf a2 and spouse ust clear her delf a1 level in french then they are eligeble to apply otherwise chances are very low.
