Hi Stillhope
I calculatd points as below:

Age: 29yrs  - 16
Education : Bcom(accounting and audit) (3ys) Nov 2004 - 10
AOT: ACCOUNTING - 6
Work exp: 6 (taking only 2 yrs thts y) rest wrk not calculated coz i m not sure.
Language: English - 6 ( i have studied and worked in English)
French - I hv just enrolled. - I hv not calculated points yet.

So adding all will be: 16(AGE)+10(Edu)+6(AOT)+6(Wrk exp)+6(English)+1(Funds) = 45 Points( French points no included).

Stillhope, I believe U undrstood I do not hold Bcom? I have a degree BCOM(accounting & audit), I hv completed a degree, a three yrs course.

I have also completed MBA(marketing) but because I could not find Marketing in the list I am not considering MBA. I want to file my case under Accounting so I will be Under Section C category.

Now can you calculate my points and give me the break-down?

Please also note, in south africa I did not completed one course only. But presently I am holding BCOM, MBA under my name.

Please help me now, to know where do i stand. And when shall i file my case in HKG?

Thank you.
Rochelle.

Hi Still Hope/Rochelle,
I am new to this forum.I got to know about QSW quite recently and I am really excited about it.Could you let me know whether I'd be eligible for this program??
My Credentials are as follows.

1)B.Tech (IT)- 2010 passed out (Is IT in the demand list? )
2)Work Ex- Working for Asia's biggest IT consulting firm for almost 1 year and 2 months (Since work-ex and Education relate,Do I get brownie points here ?  )
3)Age-22 (Does this help)
4)Learnt French through High School & I have also enrolled in Alliance Francaise (What level of French will help?)
5)How long does it take for the whole process ?(right from application--->visa)
6)Will I need the help of an immigration consultancy (Y-axis consultancy as in my case) or could I apply on my own,If Yes, how do I go about it?

My email id is ish_k_ash   @   yahoo.co.in .I would really appreciate if you help me out here!
Cos I am all confused

PS: Do I need to take up IELTS?

I seen your points as per your B.com u get 6 points for your degree not 10 because B.Com degree from india is 6 points worth not 10 points . But good things is u did MBA so apply on the basis of MBA not be.com  and definately u will get points for your MBA ( marketing )  . so now u have enough points to apply any time just update your file when u will get your aor.

good luck

What is the reason behind it, that Indian Bcom gets only 6 points?

First u can check the points on the link below
http://www2.publicationsduquebec.gouv.qc.ca/dynamicSearch/telecharge.php?type=7&file=GPI_3_1_INDE.pdf

secondly they dont consider that indian Bach is upto the level of quebec studies .

Many Thanks Stillhope,

By April 2012 i will be finishing MICS(UK){Member of Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers}, which is in the area of Shipping management, Shipping & Logistics.
Will they take into consideration? I mean can i also get points under tht? It is very similar to study CA in India.

So let me know if i can qualify for points for MICS.

Stillhope,
ICS(UK) came into being in 1920, His Majesty King George V', awarded the Royal Charter to ICS. And its Professional qualifying exam will earn an equivalent First class degree...

It will still not be granted? Certain well known universities in UK like Uni of Wales, Uni of Newcastle, Uni of Plymouth and many more consider as First class degree from ICS.

Thanks,
Rochelle.

It is similar to a ICAI tht a student earns CA in India.
But ICS is for those professional who are in shipping industry.
