Hello guys,

I am very happy to have found this site. I am Antonio, 27 years old and I will have my interview for Immigration Quebec in Hong Kong next week. Gosh, I am very nervous.

Is there anyone of you here who knows the most probable questions during the interview? I am under the Skilled Worker category. I hope you can help me guys.

I had my interview last June in New York.  First of all, the interview was conducted in French.  He began in French and I actually told him (in French) that although I spoke French that I would feel more comfortable in English since it's my maternal language and the interview was important to me.  He asked if we could start in French and then switch to English later.

The questions were of the sort you'd expect:

- Why do you want to come to Quebec?
- What do you propose to do for work in Quebec?
- Have you investigated Quebec and the job market there?
- Have you visited Quebec?
- What do you know about Quebec?

Since I had lived in Quebec for a year before applying, I felt fairly comfortable answering all the questions -- the main point of the interview seemed to be:  why are you choosing Quebec and are you sure it's the right place for you.

hi edgy555 and other members,

Here are the updates guys! Finally, I had my selection interview done for the Quebec Selection Certificate last April 25 in BIQ- Hong Kong and guess what, am I accepted!!! The very kind and nice immigration official gave the CSQ immediately after the interview. Let me share you the following story before my interview.

One great advise to all of the aspirants for Quebec immigration. Learn French as much as you can before the interview. It would be ideal to have a French knowledge at the intermediate level during the interview. At the start of my interview, the immigration official asked me if I would like to be interviewed in English but I answered him 'I will try to speak in French'.
