Hello Chris,

U said u R living in Toronto, as u R living in Toronto that will not creat any problem when u R going to apply for citizenship. Because when we applied to Canada then we sign the contract that we intent to reside in Quebec.

Ambi.

Hi mate,

I have lived both in Montreal and in Toronto. The cost of living is the first big disparity. In Montreal, you will spent $1100 for a couple a month all inclusive.  In toronto you will need $1500 minimum.  Housing, car insurance, Internet, tv cable, food and transport are more xpensive in GTA. But then, everybody speaks english and you have plenty of Indian food.

In Montreal, there are plenty of job openings when you speak French. In Toronto, job competitions are high because most jobs are English. But then again, in toronto people tend to feel more athomee because it's standard English rather than quebecois vs France French in Montreal.

At the end, it's just a matter of choice. If you are good in French and dont like Indian food much, then Montreal is great.  But if you are not a ease with French, and like Indian food, you will like GTA. GTA is more like Mauritius and Montreal is more like reunion island when it comes to taste and culture!

Cheers

I received csq from Paris in feb 2012 after the interview.
The whole csq process took 11 months without priority.

Hey ashille,

So sorry to hear that you are still in the queue. Am already in Canada since January 2012.life is going well here. If you need any help for the remaining process let me know. I got the PR in January 2012, only 5 months after receiving my CSQ.

Ryan

Ambi.

Hi ambi,

I don't think so. I stayed in Montreal for sometimes though and I could not find my luck, that's when I moved to Toronto.  I got two friends here who just got their citizenship. They came through Montreal and moved to Mississauga after two months of landing.  They were completely fine when they apply for citizenship. So once you are a PR, you can move anywhere in Canada. Ambi, please inbox ur bro number, I will call him. Been quite busy the last few days.

Hi there,

Well mate, I applied through Paris for my CSQ and through London for the federal part.  Guess it depends where you are in the world at the time ur doing the application. I was in UK back then so I applied in London. You can always let them know when you moved address or country.  They will transfer ur application accordingly.

Federal part for Quebec moves fast.  The only slow one is the CSQ. Make sure you got all required docs attached. Otherwise they will keep on sending you request letters.

After finally waiting for my CSQ since 2010, I decided to go for TRV multiple entry based on my wife study permit who has been in Canada for about five months. I just got my TRV multiple entry visa yesterday...now I am not in any hurry, let the CSQ take as long as it wants, I hope in two to three years my family will have gotten our permanent residence.

Hello everyone,

I'm prishu from Mauritius, my husband and I applied for quebec immigration since June 2011. We got our file number in March 2012 and till now we didn't get our CSQ. I have a BA(hons)French, I thought that the procedures would be fast as I got a degree in French but my agent is telling me that there is actually a backlog in Quebec Paris Immigration. So, I want to know if there is any applicants who got his CSQ in January 2013? Till when will I have to wait and this is really killing me?!
