Hello!
I was successful in getting my Quebec 'certificate of selection' from Immigration Quebec's Paris Office. From what I understand, the hardest part is over. Hooray!
My visa application (complete with the 'certificate of selection' from Paris) is now with the London Office of the Canadian High Commission at 38 Grosvenor Street. Does anyone know if I should expect an acknowledgement of receipt from them?
One web page says I should expect one (cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/quebec/apply-after.asp) but another says I should NOT expect one (canadainternational.gc.ca/united_kingdom-royaume_uni/visas/processing-traitement.aspx). In any event, I have heard nothing. I'd love to know if I should expect an acknowledgement or if there's a problem. Needless to say, my email to the office goes unanswered.
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Nobody on the forum replied to this, but for the reference of anyone viewing this message who has the same enquiry; I received instructions from Canada House regarding medical examinations about two months after applying to them. So there was no formal acknowledgement of receipt but the medical instruction arrived within fair time.

hi rob im christy, appreaciate a lot ur posting here as it helps me further on my quebec application..just want to ask if uve done an interview after u got ur QSC? still lot of questions about the processing, hope to communicate with u sometime regarding this matter through email..regards

Hi Christy. I had to attend an interview in Paris prior to getting my CSQ. It was at this interview I was assessed and they gave me my CSQ on the day at the end of the interview. I've not had to attend another one. I hope that answers your question! |

Hello I also got my csq last month and my visa offfice is also London .
I have one question trochanter for you that when u applied to London visa office have u got any medical or lot request. If possible could u share your time line please. This will help us a lot.

@ hotspud yes they send acknowledgement letter in which they assign a file number to your case. beacuse only then you will be able to track your application. |

I had submiited application for receive my quebec residency from UK to paris office in 13 oc 2011 but till now i did't get any letter from paris office .i am worried,anyone know how much time take to get any letter from them

Hi ,

Yes I did contact BIQ Paris in Nov and that time they said we r issuing file no to those people who submit their application in the month of June. What is your area of training. Ambi hI AMBI775,

becouse other peple get AOR in 2 months

Hello priya, I m also from India, living in England. And one thing I tell u did nothing wrong to apply from Paris. Because to get aor from Paris is talking time but after that they process your application quicker then India. People who applied in Oct to Dec from India still waiting for interview and people who applied from Paris same time waiting for their passport request. So don't worry Ambi Hi Ambi
