Dear Bachar,

Please contact with Alliance Française in your area for learning French. B1 is upper intermediate level. It's not easy to get that level within few months.

Thanks

Hello,

Quebec2011 -- You still have not received interview date? It is 15months have been passed. Have u got any mail from BIQ?

Thomas1987, Yogie -- Have you received any mail from BIQ. It is almost 10months have been passed.

Others, please update the tracker with your details..

More people will update, less will be our effort to understand the actual processing time for different BIQ/Visa office. We can also follow up to corresponding BIQ accordingly.

Moderator of this QSW tracker [ I think mkshah] can you please categorize this tracker according to BIQ/Visa office?

Hi Bachar,
As Robin mentioned earlier, it's not easy to reach B1 level.
I have taken private classes for A1 and for A2 i am planning to prepare myself and sit into exam.

Guys anyone  that knows how to count the points using the GPI, can PLEASE help me? I counted 44 points, with no french for both me and my wife, and although the minimum point to pass the first evaluatiuon is 57, I also passed the online test! So please check out my counting of points, im sure I am missing something, just dont know where, but probably its in the spouse field, where I saw only age and education points:

1- Formation: Diplôme d'études universitaires de 1 er cycle sanctionnant 3 ans ou plus d'études à temps plei  -  10  points
2- Expérience: 48 mois (4ans) ou plus – 8 points
3- Âge:  18 ans à 35 an  - 16  points
4- Connaissances linguistiques:  Compréhension orale 8.5 / Expression orale 8 (advanced ielts)- 3 points
5- Séjour et famille au Québec NON
6- Caractéristiques de l'époux ou du conjoint de fait qui accompagne:
    Formation: 3 points  /  Âge:  3 points / experience ?
7- Offre d'emploi validée NON
8- Enfants NON
9- Capacité d'autonomie financière - 1
10- Adaptabilité – 1 (interview)

Total 44 points, without the interview point

I hope somebody here can help me in this counting! please!

my questions:
how do i know if i have Priority or not ? -- Please find the following PDF. If your area o training is listed in the PDF, then you are in priority list. Your AOR may mention it as priority application.

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/en/informations/list-training-26may2009.pdf

i think my BIQ is Montreal but how do i know what;s my visa Office? -- Canada permanent residence office(federal application) for your country will be Visa Office. For your case - I think it is Buffalo

i passed Tefaq for french test and i got upper intermediate, what's that correspond with this A1 B1 things? - Upper intermediate in comprehnsion orale/Production Orale == B2==  12 Point
i moved from my place, so i need to send a letter to tell the office that i moved , any one can help with a prepared document please?
Thank s alot -- Please inform to BIQ sending a covering letter giving the reference of your Dossier no/refrence no. in your AOR.

You're missing your Area of training ponts, french knowledge and i dont see anything about your wifes qualification... Also - dont count adaptability at this stage you guys need to get 57 points first as a couple to be invited for the interview

hey hec006, no its not easy to protect sheets in google docs. either you have to manually add all the editors or just be the sole guy to update. now i've opened it up for everyone expecting none will vandalise the sheet !  Smiley

Hey Vibez_well,

I have a question. Is there any difference in processing time between Hong Kong/New Delhi and Hong Kong/London candidate? After reviewing many candidate, I think.. there is. But why? BIQ is same in both cases.

Did anyone contact his/her BIQ to check on the application status? After my initial AOR, I never received anything. So I'm thinking of sending an e-mail to the BIQ.

*** I will be having my interview in Hongkong on February 9, 2012. I am afraid i am not prepared. Especially about the whole CANADA and the different provinces in Quebec. What would be the most appropriate answer in why choosing to immigrate in canada and why in Quebec??

*** another thing, can someone explain to me the point system in Quebec? You mean, I got 57 points in filing my application since I was called for interview? and How much points more do I need to get during the interview to pass? I have little knowledge of french.. I am so slow when I speak in French and I have limited vocabulary...
