Hi mdammalli, As you said earlier.. I have couriered application for Quebec selection certificate (CSQ) on 22nd Nov 2011. As per the courier acknowledgement the documents has been reached HK BIQ on 28th Nov 2011. Now, in your situation, what I can suggest is that you can call them on the numbers provided on BIQ HK website. Tell them about your problem that after sending your application, you came to know about credit card payment, and now you want to send them the payment by DD. They will surely suggest you a way out of this situation. Also you can send them a mail from the link provided on the website mentionig your problem. They will reply within 3 working days. To help them track them to your parcel, you must mention in your mail, your first name, your last name, your date of birth, your country of residence, your passport number and date of sending your courier to them. Keep us updated about status of your application. Thanks M K Shah for your quick reply. How can I send DD without knowing my file number, since still I havent received my AOR? In case if my application got returned then as for as new rules concerned, I'm still getting enough points without considering French proficiency. My only concern is how can I show my english proficiency I havent appered any IELTS exams so far. I earned my Bachelor and Masters(Computer Science) degree in english language only from VTU Karnataka,India. Can it be proved at the time of interview or I should submit language proficiency proof?
I claimed total 60 points im my application as is my detailsa are. Education (M-Tech) 12Points Area of Training(aerospace) 12Point (Any comment from seniors here as my experience is in Aerospace domain?) Age (34yrs) 16Points Children(1yr old son) 4Points Financial Self-Sufficiency 1Point French Proficiency 0Points English(No IELTS) 6Points Spouse's Degree (BE(CSE)) 3Points Spouse'sAreaof Training 3Points Spouse'sAge (30yrs) 3Points Spouse's French Proficiency 0Points
Thanks -Malatesh

chibiks, think i read somewhere on this forum that for quebec nominees, landing has to be done in quebec itself. am sure its been discussed before.. why dont u just try a search. will post if i find it... hey, i currently live and work in ontario. I applied for PR, when they request my passport, I want to go to buffalo to give my passport for the PR visa and then "land" when I am returning to Ontario. Will this be a problem since I am a Quebec nominee? The intent is after my current work contract expires, then I move to Quebec... Any thoughts?

The POE (Port of Entry) matter:
Dear Cpa2Canada,
As a federal skilled worker, we can chose any POE in Canada & complete our landing formalities, regardless of the destination mentionned in our Apps or the COPR, except Quebec* [details below].
Canada's immigration laws provide for a 2 step process for our visa applications: >Step-1. The CIC/CHCs carry out stage One (read our apps processing system). >Step-2. Carried out by an Immigration Officer at the POE.
Reg. step-1, we are already familiar. This is how we get our PR Visas. For the step-2 (at POE) however, landing is our "Right". Though not an 'automatic right', we must still satisfy the officer at the POE that our entry is permissible: A12(1), called the 'Verification of PR', outlined in Sections 19(1)& (2) of the Act. But, another thing is also involved in this step-2, called 'Completion of the Record of Landing' for admission into Canada, which is obligatory.
For this "Record of Landing", 'admissibility' is not affected by our choice of POE. All it's needed is to fill up certain forms, specifically the PR Card form (IMM 5444E), wherein we have to provide an address for card delivery. This can be anywhere, beyond the POE. This is how newcomers with COPR destination as Montreal-Quebec drive thru the POE of Sarnia, Bluewater Bridge. There are many other examples, but for brevity I just chose one.
*There is only 'one' catch though. For Quebec, although any FSW would be allowed to enter thru a Quebec POE, they cannot complete the 'Record of Landing' here. And would have to further drive/fly to another province (any) to report to its Immigration Officer for the 'completion' of record of landing. This is because Quebec needs the CSQ certificate to complete this procedure. Which only is for a Quebec PR applicant. (however, it is not vice-versa... a Quebec PR applicant can do all the formalities in any other Canadian POE).
End Note: Anyone of us can land in any Canadian POE, irrespective of what's written in our apps or the COPR.

Standard AOR receipt time from buffalo is 5-7 months. I have code 130 priority treatment csq. will this shorten my aor receipt time?
Hi Chibiks, well there is no general answer to ur question cos more often than not, the time may also depend on the officer handling ur file. i got my AOR from accra 2weeks after applying needless to say that the hard copy of my AoR arrived exactly 22days after applying but be that as it may, i waited 7months to get my MR and the whole deal with Accra took like 9months.. whereas there are some applicants who had to wait 5months to get there AOR and 2weeks later month they got MR. so it is ready hard to say that cos AOR comes early then the MR too will & vice versa. and mind you it was clearly written on my selection certificate that i was marked for pRIORITY treatment. You just pray that ur file will not b handled by a though agent like Agent 000005 who handled mine in Accra.. BTW, u already are in Canada, y the intended move to Quebec again? hope ur frech is at least average. cos that could really be an issue.there are english jobs though but competition is high... but anyways u knw ur situation best... cheers
