Both are different. Credential evaluation is to grant you points for the training while geting a professional permit is to make your degree Quebec equivalent and hence possibility of getting points for "area of training" and priority treatment.

Anyone could correct me if i am wrong

hi jayajay.....

will this credential evaluation done by us and send along application or visa office will do it on basis of our degree docs......and do u hav any doc which will prove that after getting permit we r eligible 4 area of training

i think if we hav done with credential evaluation thn we'll entitle 4 "quebec degree or equivalent"  becoz any way it is done only for checking whether foreign degree credientials r equivalent 2 Quebec or not..............

correct me if i m getting wrong............all members put ur view

I better put my application together as fast as i can before tougher rules sets in.

Does anyone here know any added benefits in using a rep or has anyone here used a rep?

Can french test results be sent to them after AOR has been recieved?

Are they changing rules? Do you know of any reliable source that mentions this.

I wrote to the HK office but got a vague...generic..."look at the webpage" answer for my question.

If I am currently in India and lets say I get my CSQ in 6-9-12...months down the road. and then move to some other country.

I should still be able to file my last stage of the application (medicals + police clearance) with the office that would be responsible for handling the last stage process for that country. eg. Buffalo for USA. right?

Hi kaddu747,
yes you can. I applied as an applicant from Pakistan to BIQ Hongkong and wrote Islamabad as my VO. However, when i received my CSQ, i was told to submit my federal application to VO in Malaysia since I have been staying in Malaysia for one year.

thx angel and shahi yes i got my AOR after 1 month and 5 days...all of us are really shocked to hear what had happened with angel, i guess going for appeal will be a right choice rather than making a new application...but one thing really bothers me and some one here also said that registering for the french course wil be not be helpful.??i think angel should do something more than registering for french course..i think he sit for DELF or TEFAQ and after he get some points in french he should go for Administrative review..

angel i need to know are you presently working in the field of chemistry??
@ angel give me ur contact no i will contact you...send  me a personal msg.

Hello Folks,

I am planning to send my CSQ application to Hong Kong BIQ very soon. But I have just come across some rule changes regarding Police Clearance Certifcates and their validity. Until now, I was under the impression that at CSQ application stage you don't need to send PCCs to your concerning BIQ. However, having seen the changes in the rules for FSW I am not sure whether I am supposed to send my PCCs with my CSQ application or send them with my FSW application once I have received CSQ ? Please advise !

there is no need to send the PCC at the time of filing application. it is required at the federal part.

Phew ! Thanks angel, you're a star ! I nearly had a heart-attack when I found out that arranging for PCCs could take another 2-3 months ! And I DON'T want to delay my CSQ application for that long.

Cheers

This is really shocking news. My heart goes out to you bro.

apparently, it looks like they haven't allocated any point for your Education. What was your degree and year of passing??

But I fail to understand WHY they haven't allocated any point for training?

I thought whoever has a BS or MS degree will get certain minimum points (10 or 12) and if the training is from a preferred list of Trainings, your application will get FAST TRACK assessment and additionally you are eligible for additional points depending on the degree.

Guys.. Shahi, Iceburg... please explain if above understanding is correct.

Can anyone clear the above confusion.        " Je suis tres confus "
