hi Smallie, congratulations to both of you for AOR! Smiley
Hello Forumites,

Wish to share my piece of good news with the house. We finally received our AOR from BIQ paris on 23rd November. After over 11 months, The AOR is dated 18th November and it was stated that our application was received on 7th December, 2010. Its been an agonising wait and now we await interview call or hopefully, a waiver.

CONGRATS to Stillhope and all others who have moved a step closer, wish you all the best.

Egrace, i really apprecaite your help & congrats on your 1st pay check.

Guess no one has an idea of how long we have to wait for the next step cos it is obvious they are not keeping to their stipulated timelines. But we stay positive, knowing that "all things are working together for our good".

Quebec is different from FSW . for  quebec you need to check the 2009 list of area  of traning to see  if you fall under priority processing. if not your docs will be process as per the normal time.i think you can apply with your masters degree. since this's the degree at hand.  hit back if there's anything you don't understand . cheers bro.

PhD Stream is only opened for International Canadian students. None else!

Thanks Myhope...I do have another question if u do not mind!
I do not speak French, neither my spouse but we start taking on line lessons. Do We need to fluently speak French to be eligible? also, if by any chance I got succeed and traveled to Quebec, is it a must that I stay there not to move to another province?
thanks in advance
You don't need to be fluent. French can give you 0 to 16 points so the more you are good in French the more you can earn the points. For your second question please read some previous pages to get the right answer.

Hi Razaq,
Its totally up to them. Thought from the previous posts I can tell you that credit card takes time as compared to other payment methods. If you use credit card, It usually ends up in Queue. Once your turn comes, it will be en-cashed. Cheers

Yes off course ,  I have applied under skilled worker category from UK last year in 14 -Dec 10 .. Got interview call around for August 2011 initially  ...but i requested them to reschedule  it for Nov 2011(which they did)

- Me and my wife both went to paris for interview  last week , got our CSQ!!!

- We both know basic level of french , studied online from website (Coffee break with french & Micheal Thomas french material)..

- and also taking  private french classes from last 2 months.

- Went to Montreal in September for 2 weeks(research trip)...

- In our  interview, we spoke mostly in  English .(English 90% & 10% French)..

Now preparing documents for next stage..

If your country of residence is USA then you will send your documents to your US relevant BIQ instead of sending it to Paris BIQ. Please follow the link for further information. Cheers
