I got the CSQ in NOV.It took me 1 hour of interview. Everything very similar with other friends. One thing I need to mention,99% of interview is english and I don't even say something in French. You need to prepare well to immigrate to Quebec that's it!
Maybe my AOR is in the priority list.GOOD LUCK for everyone!!!

Hi,

i have learned 3 levels of french (A1.1 to A1.3) and currently enrolled in A1.4 at Alliance Francaise . Can i apply to quebec with my registration card (proof that i am learning french along with the copy of the certificates (A1.1 to A1.3) ? or Is it necessary to submit TEF/DELF certificate along with the application?

Any one applied this way or having any idea for that pls share his/her experience.

Thanks

Hi guys,

i've got one question please, regarding the moment "Passport Request".

If you apply from the outside, they need to stamp that passport to make it possible for you enter Canada. (then you get your PR Card...)

I've applied from the inside (Montreal), having a job already. I've heard rumors, that, if you apply from the inside and you get the visa in your passport, you have to leave the country for 24hours or so? lets say, cross the border at Fort Erie and come back straight away ?!

Is it "unsubstantiated gossip" or is it based on true facts?  Smiley

Hi there,

I believe you'd have to fly out of Canada as you need to have your PR status validated at the airport.

I wanted to ask - did you apply for your CSQ with a validation d'emploi permanent (validated employment)? Did you just receive your CSQ last September? I was just wondering as I've been told that CSQ applications in Montreal take a maximum of 6 months, but yours seems to have taken 10... now I'm worried about my own application, hehe...

lepatissier07 ,

yes, its true. you have to cross the border and come back. there is no specific time (24h) for it though. Its called flagpoling ! just search for it in this forum, plenty of people have done it. if you are in Montreal, you need to go to the St-Bernard-de-Lacolle border crossing.

when you reach the border, tell the US border guys that you need to do your landing formalities and return to Canada. they will deny you entry to the US and give you a form, photograph and fingerprint you. Then you just return to canada, do your landing formalities & CELEBRAAATE !!!! you're then a PR !!!

hi ambi1775,

thanks for the quick reply.

so, is it really just 24hours? anything more specific available?

hi guys,

 @ vibez_well

thanks a lot, that'll be fine. Smiley    Long way to go.

 @ cdv222

well, i have applied last year november, as you can see, and i received the aor in february, so, i've thought they're are happy with what they've got, and i've thought they are already working on it, but in May (3 months later) they've sent me a letter, telling me there are missing documents, and i've got 60days to get them, or my file will be closed. so, i needed about 50days to get the missing doc's from germany to canada, and let them translate....all this was lost time. I send the missing doc's about mid july, and, as stated in their letter, it will be processed within 30days after receiving the package, which was true, i got the appointment via EMAIL the 2nd august for the 20.September. So, the actual CSQ i received the 11.October, even if I was told to receive in the next 5days, in the end, it was 3 weeks. (and printed 1 week before that, according to the letter date)
i've lost 3 months i guess, thinking they are happy with what they got, and thinking, they sent me the AOR, so , they had what they needed. as you can see....   Smiley

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! Wow... How true, that's a lot of time you had to wait for... But at least you have your CSQ now!
May I ask what kind of documents they asked for? And also, when you applied, did you already have a permanent job in Montreal? Did you submit a validation d'emploi permanent (validated employment)?
