Hi Stillhope, Is this how it should be filled for all the diplomas outside of Quebec. I obtained my BSc degree in Sri Lanka. Does the same apply to me? Thanks

Hi Freso,
What does this schedule in document signify. Kindly elaborate what is "SCHEDULE OF SELECTION MISSIONS FOR SKILLED WORKERS SEPTEMBER – OCTOBER – NOVEMBER – DECEMBER 2011". I am unable to understand this. Plz explain about this document.
Hi, These are the missions (Interview Officers from Government of Quebec) date to visit the BIQ's for the interviews. So, in these dates qualified candidates can expect interviews. cheers

hi shootingstar,
my original transcript is stamped but not the photocopies.. so I guess I will do as what egrace suggested.. I actually didn't know we can do that and thought it has to be issued by the university again.. especially Quebec immigration website doesn't show that..
Hello Osama, sorry for the late reply. Yes, if your photocopies are not stamped then get it done fro ma notary. Its a 5 minute job!!

If a selection mission is coming to your city, with how much time in advance should you receive your invitation to go there and get interviewed? A selection mission is coming to my city next month and will be here during November (almost the whole month). I have not yet received any email/invitation. I applied in mid 2011.

well dear, sorry for bursting ur bubbles here. cos as rule, those who come into canada via the live-in-a-care giver stream must necessarily work as a live-in-care-giver for a MINIMUM of 2YEARS before they can opt out of that contrat. since u only av spent 6months, i guess u still av some more time to serve b4 u can opt out. taking a look at ur profile, u should av applied for PR straight away because u have EXCELLENT chance to have soared above the quebec selection points due to ur Nursing training. you shouldnt have applied for LIVE-in -Care giver class. bcos the stream is designed For many who would not otherwise qualify for PR status under any other category, this stands as one of the motivations for participation and the super fast processing time also do lure over qualified applicants to want this route as it offers them the opportunity to enter Canada quickly than if they have applied for the PR-stream straight off. but then, u already are in it... my advice is that try to enjoy it while it lasts cos that is the only way it wont be a burden on you and try as much as possible to undergo training within this period.... God Bless you
hello egrace..thanks so much for the advise..it is really nice to hear few ideas from other people..i know it seems a bit tricky on what i got on, i haven't realized before that i could apply directly using my nursing in coming to Canada so when someone offered me to come as live in caregiver, I grab it at once but now the process of getting PR through live in is so long process that is why im wondering if i could try QSW to obtain better areas of work and be able to sponsor my dependant quickier.

Hi lenny, It varies BIQ to BIQ. For example, if you file an application in Paris BIQ, It almost takes 8 months to 12 to get a call for the interview. And this is for a normal applicant which fulfill all the criteria after receiving two AORs.

Hello everyone, I have just received the bad new that our app didn't make it in the 500 CAP, so we would like to apply for Quebec. I have a couple of questions in regards to obtaining the CSQ.
My spouse is the principal applicant and she is a nurse. She took both a IELTS test (English) and a TEFaQ (French).
1) Do I also have to take both tests also in order to apply for CSQ? 2) Since nursing seems to be one of their priorities, do you have any idea how long the CSQ process might take, given we're applying from the US?
Thanks for your inputs and good luck everybody!

hey lev !
egrace should be right about the 2 yr contract thing for live-in-caregivers. but here is another idea...
you've been in montreal for 6 months only right ? so technically your BIQ is still Hong Kong. so what you do is, gather all your documents for yourself and your spouse, and file for the CSQ at BIQ,HK. The processing for nurses are quite rapid and you can expect an interview call in 6-8 months. But you will have to fly down to HK/wherever for the Interview.
maybe others can also provide some input on this idea...
hello vibez!!! thanks for your thoughts...i'm thinking of that as well and that was also a question I had been asking if in case I would push through my QSW application, I can take the risk of flying back to my country or Hongkong if that would be the right place for me, someone also gave me advise that I could file for CSQ here in montreal and interview in here although there would be possibility that once CSQ is approve they might forward it to my home country since I haven't been here for a year..Honestly, so much confusion on my part this time whether to apply or not.
