Can anyone answer question one and let me know whether I am allowed to submit 2 applications in parallel (me & my wife)? i.e. I will be the principle applicant for one application and my wife will be the principle applicant for the second application ??
would it be simpler to just calc who would get more points & priority as the PA and then go ahead rather than complicating an already complicated & opaque system ? unless the other person scores reaaaally high or is a nurse, there is no way you can speed it up. so why waste money on the processing fees dude, save that up for ur time in quebec ! will ease the initial burden or you can go on a trip , lol.

Thank you vibez_well for your reply.. Basically I score more points than my wife even with 0 knowledge of French, but she knows little french and with that she can get the required scoring point.. so both can get the passing points but I am not sure which situation would be better..

unless your wife has something like atleast B1 level french then, I feel the person with better professional record should be the PA. if ur wife has good prof exp, then why not. only mean to say that the decision should not hinge on french alone. look @ the total profile. ppl with 0 french have also gotten thru. If that's the case, then I guess I have to be the main applicant.. I was only worried that knowledge of French is the main cut off point for officers when it comes to make the decision of awarding the CSQ... Thanks vibez_well

I read somewhere that some damascus applicants for interviewed in Egypt ? absolutely not sure abt this... just read this somewhere. some indian applicants are being called to BIQ, HK for interviews. thats an additional burden of $650. but mostly its the country Canadian consulate where interviews take place or the nearest one. hahaha you are most welcome.. let me submit the application first Any idea if my Quebec visa office is in Damascus (which is now Montreal since Damascus office is closed) and I live in UAE, where would the interview take place ? is it always in the nearest Canadian embassy ?

Hi all I wanted to swim along with you people to reach our destination. Doesn't matter who reaches first, what matters is we should not get drowned. Bonne Chance.

hey guys,
is it necessary that the PA should live in quebec along woth spouse or can the spouse live alone there for a few months and PA is in a different country....also, in this case what happens to the number of days count fr citizenship application? is the spouse's stay alone counted toward it?

The rule said clearly you have to land with your PA,as far I've learn is thAt you have to spend 3 years in Canada on PR and then you can apply for citizenship. Now for PR,when they give your PR card it is valid for 5 years and the rule said you have to spend minimum 2 years in the country in the 5 years window .So hope this can help, slight mistake can be harmful for the citizenship All the best ABMIR

thanks, +1 to you. Yes, i am aware of the landing rule. I'm talking about the time after landing and living in QC for a few weeks or months. What if I stay alone without the PA? will that period count toward my time spent in canada?
