what are the new 2012 immigration policies? are they very different to the present ones? i was going to send my application for selection certificate at the end of October 2011 after sitting the TEFAQ exam but i was informed, just a few days ago by the TEFAQ exam place that there was an overbooking and they couldn't fit me in and now i have to wait until late february/march 2012 to sit the TEFAQ exam. Because of this, i have to delay my application for about 5 months. and now im worried that the immigration policies may change.  Huh

The immigration policies are not changing, as far as my knowledge goes but the authorities are going to limit the number of applicants from every part of the world, so that diversity is maintained.
I think you should be fine whenever you decide to apply. Another option would be to send ur application now and update your file later with TEFAQ results.

Hi,

Listen up guys going to Quebec i believe thats purely our decision and i m very sure that everyone knows the word MIGRATION .
i shall give u one example that once u shift one home to an other home within 25 kms, defiantly u will need some time to settle and u will tackle so many issues like people attitude, environment, jobs, racism, religion, security etc... within 25kms in ur own country. perhaps we r talking about Migration from one country to another country, i am sure u will get probably more worst than those which i have talked about... Quebec is not pulling u forcefully from ur homeland to come and start ur new life there...

everyone is looking for a better future and what ever they got from there own country might be not enough and want a better standard and flying colours of life. so decision is urs... they r two types of people, ones who think and do it and 2nd ones who think and keep on thinking....  Huh

I am sure u must be struggling in ur own country, not so ... then wot is the problem if u work an other country where u will get good reward and at least a renown identification....

Nothing personal if someone is offended my apologies...

Rgds,

Mansoor

uuuuuuuh, well reasoned,....well said.......... with flavour of comic strips............ +10 for u bro....... cheers

Dear All,,

I am new to this quebec forum. I have already applied under FSW1- 0231 NOC,  which seems needed a huge time to process.

SO i planned to apply under QSW and ask devid cochen to be my lawer. Just to know,,

Am i eligible to apply for both FSW1 and QSW  process at the same time ? yes u can file multiple applications at the same time since it is not a lottery.if u meet the requirement for as many streams as possible, u can apply. the only caution is that applying for temporary residence as well as permanent residence at  the same time should be avoided bcos that will insinuate DUAL INTENT which simply means that such applicant might not leave Canada at the expiration of his/her temporary residence if the permanent visa application is yet to be finalized.....so if u do not av any TRV-application, then u can throw in as many application as possible dont 4get u will also pay the fees Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin. if u feel a process, isn too slow, u may decide to put in for a faster one without cancelling the other..... so does these multiple applications make u av more than one visa? of course not. u cannot have more than one visa. the multiple application only allows u to enjoy shorter processing time ( if any exist 2ru any of the routes u av applied under.) and immediately one of those av scaled through the federal stage, all other applications that are yet to be finalized MUST be withdrawn

Can i move after 6 months to ontario to be setteled there?

for french is it manditory for TEF exam?  as  Devid cochen said (Applicants applying under the Quebec Skilled Worker category should be willing/able to gain a HIGH BEGINNER level of proficiency in the French language - understanding and speaking (not reading or writing).)

Kindly advice seniors.  plssssssssss

hussen
I'm so happy to find someone who is an applicant from the US Wink. I don't 'see' so many of us here on this forum and this is the only forum I use.

No idea about the AOR. I just sent my application 2 weeks ago and it reached the BIQ in 3-4 days. Still waiting for AOR. I would think it takes 1-2 months for the Montreal BIQ to send AOR.

I hope some one who has gone through this process in the Montreal BIQ,helps us here.
Hi shootingstar and Hussen, I am also applying from the US. I am finalizing my documents so that I can submit my application soon. Bonne chance to us all

I have seen the debate about leaving your own country and immigrating to other country. Well I have asked few acedamic consultants in Mumbai and they told me that the job prospects in Quebec are better than other provinces..provided you have good knowledge of french language.

One of the most important point that I would like mention is anyone who is immigrating to any country leaving his job, family, culture etc should go there with an open mind. Take up any job initially to support yourself. Ground level jobs would be available in plenty in any country..I believe. If you immigrate thinking that it will be relatively easy to find a job relevant to your profile then you are taken for a toss. Initially there would be hiccups but you must be prepared to take up any job without any prejudice mind set.

No offense to anyone..
