@ vicky: its ur choice frd, whichever way you choose Smiley
@  shahi: i read somewhere:TEFaQ (Test d'Evaluation du Français adapté au Quebec)

For a visa application to Quebec, the Ministry of Immigration and the Cultural Communities of Quebec.
For the TEFaQ exam, candidates are tested on their oral comprehension and expression only.
A certificate showing the results is issued and is valid for one year in case of visa application.

so y DELF?

Hello Angel

Both TEFaQ and Delf are accepted.. So depending on which you can easily access, you can choose either of them.

@  Vicky  Me too love coffe esp when you add some 45% alc of Jack Daniels on it.  Cool

Any of you guys has experience with other professions that can not prove it with documets?

I can clear it,
I have done 6 years cours of playing guitar from 1995 - 2001, and i was a member of a Rock Band too.
After that i decided to play on my own and i still play alone  Embarrassed . I have given some private lessons too and i am ready
to give instructions. But i can not prove this with a document from professor that i had that time, he died Undecided
beside that we did at hes home not any private school or something else.
What if i bring my guitar with me at the interview and play it hard in front of the officer face to make him belive me  Cool
I have wrote this when i filled my CV for the application. Any same experience here?

Can i collect some poor points from this case? Maybe at Adability Section.

Now just borned the question any of you play some drum some bass or sing? we want to make some noise at our "Quebec Night Of Victory"

hohooooooo Jack Daniels..now we are talking!!
Well, sure it will be hard to prove such experience, but any proof will do.
If not, so dont worry..so many cases where guys worked on a private business & could not get certified documents.
But it all gets back to ur credibility. Wink Tongue

What a night it will be!
(I used to be a sort of "drummer" back in the college days..we rock Wink )

Vicky,
You simply declare your basic knowledge of french.
In addition, if u intend to apply for any course (AF, DELF, TEF..etc), it would be nice to include your reservation invoice with your documents. That would show that you serious in learning the language.
But if u didn't, that won't be a pb, cause at the time of the interview..I guess u'll be so well prepared. Right?!

By the way, QSW is not that faster than FSW.
FSW could take only 5 months to get the visa, depending on the case.

At the end, it's all up to you. Go for the program you feel u fit in it more.
In any cases, good luck.

Waiting for further good news for anybody Smiley

Vicky im doing the course of Alleiance Francaise and i sugest you to start this course, is the best way to learn french.
But you have to work on our own too. Buy some French movies, listen to a songs in French, read some books in French.

Here is a site were you can listen some audio books in french
http://www.litteratureaudio.com/classement-de-nos-livres-audio-gratuits-les-plus-apprecies

I just relax my self with these books....

Hello All,
I am writing to you for purpose of determining what do I need to provide for my profession accredited by the Quebec province in order to qualify for the immigration.
I hold a Masters degree in Computer science from Georgia Tech USA in computer science. My bachelors degree is also in computer science from Pakistan. I need to know if both degree's need to be accredited. Plus, I am not sure at this point in time if my profession comes under regulated trade or profession in Québec(Whether its regulatory or non-regulatory profession). and do I need to have it approved or evaluated before I apply for immigration (this process will delay the application filing time, plus add expenses).
The statement from the form qouting "obtained recognition of the equivalence of your diploma or training from the relevant regulatory body, you must provide proof." What proof do I need and how to get this proof to attach with my application.

Please help..

You all have a great day

A

If you're to work as a software developer, it's not regulated. Official Certificates and Transcripts from both universities are enough.. Hope that helps.

Hey Guys,

I dont have any official exam in French taken like DELF or TEF. I have a certificate that I have taken an A1 course At Migros (Geneva, Switzerland) and now I am doing an A2 at Alliance Francaise. The AF will also issue a certificate for me that I have been taking such a course with overall results.
I also had French in highschool that is reflected on my HS transcript with the grade "A".

Is that enough for filing an application? I need to claim at least 4 points in French. Someone please help....

Congratulation Vicky.. You started your first step. Now prepare your documents and fill out the forms.

The link i gaved you has audio books writen by big authors, just listen to them it will help you so much.
Find any good TV French and don't change station anymore. If you don't have any, try finding on the net and see them live.
Use your Ipod Radio to find any station in French. You can find French Radio Stations in Net too.

Prepare your documents, i think you can be ready to applicate in 1 month. In the section of the langue knowledge, you can make the French language 3 beginner and English 7 intermediate.

The interview will be 5 months from now if you applicate... let say after 1 month. time that you need for collecting documents
In 5 month you will be 3 beginner in French so don't worry.

Is nice to hear that you decided to make your first step...... Wink
