LANGUAGE TEST EXEMPTION ?
Hi guys,
I heard that I could write a letter to ask for language tests exemption. Could anyone advise if this is possible in my case:
- Bachelor degree from an English university in Montreal : I stayed 2 years in Montreal and 1 year in Vancouver
- Master degree from a French university: I stayed 1 year in France
Thanks a lot.
Happie Doan

Hi homesickvn,

I havent heard of anyone requesting a language test exemption for the QSW. all decisions rest with the BIQ. we could just provide all our credentials and they decide what else they want to see, what can be done away with (eg: interview) based on your total score / profile.

since you've been in Montreal and France for long, you possibly have an edge. could you take up a french test and submit that along with your application ? i'm sure you can do a DELF A1/A2 without classes since you wud've already been exposed to some french?   Cool

Francaise

I understand the below breakdown is for the principal applicant - please could you help understand the allocation of points for your partner in learning french ? The website only says 0-6 so I am confused.

Sanity

For spouse

a1,a2 = 2pt
b1,b2 = 4pt
c1,c2 = 6pt

you can check on the site link below on page 37

Thanks Francaise - a bit of difficulty as the entire doc is in french.
Am I right in understanding that the partner can be either a1 or a2 to claim the total 2 points?

Hi,
I completed Medical Test on 29th July and Medical Report reached ND VO by 4th Aug.
I also sent my Original PP and RPRF to ND VO and reached to embassy on 4th Aug.
I am looking forward to get my Visa Stamp, anyone has an idea how long it should take to get my visa?
Can you share your experience if you are in the same step?
Thanks.

It will come very soon, for example shahi whose entire federal process didn't take more than 2 months from NDVO.

Could you please share your timeliness?

As i read your previous posts it seems that you had applied in year 2009 ....Am I correct?

when did you have your interview?

where was your interview held?

how long did your federal process take?

Please answer above questions they are really important to me.

Thanks

Hi Kaps,

I can tell you that DELF A2 is pretty easy. Its just a wee bit tougher than A1. you can easily make high scores if you just prepare for the format based given on the CIEP site.

I just saw the other post about TCF   @   Delhi. i guess tcf & tef are more acceptable but these chaps down south dont give a proper answer as to when where this is conducted. checked with bangalore, they directed me to AFB chennai, those guys asked me to check at AFB hyderabad. crazy !

i think the prob is that its not scheduled every x no. of months. its according to demand or something.

Vibez

Merci Vibez pour l'information.
Je vais a AF centre de Delhi a Samedi. Je demands l'information pour passer TCF examen.
Je vous donne l'information a Samedi sur TCF, si vous voulez passer l'examen a Delhi.

hi vibez_well & Kaps1706,
I read a post of one member palakdhagia that AF Delhi is doing registration for TCF exam date 5th Oct 2011. Last date of regstn is 15th Sept.

I was just thinking about the difference of test fees between DELF and TEF/TCF.
I heard that TEF/TCF test fees is Rs. 7000, whereas DELF test fees  is just Rs. 700 for AF students

So, you can see a very big diff. in fees of both tests.
But then what is so big difference between these 2 tests?
