hey not to worry about that! all the correspondence that i had till now with the embassy was on my mailing address itself. nothing to do with the consultancy with regard to exchange of info about my application..

for this i will recommend you to write down an email or give them a call asking about you AOR tell them you full name as on passport and your date of birth they might be able to track your application Smiley

well they are not giving 1 point to every one adabtibility means your research about Quebec you should give people a nice suggestion rather then tell them bad experiences. Try to explain how did ur friend got 1 point ? what was the reason if you don't know about Quebec then you will get 1 point which is the softness of IO

  @  umer shahzad
hey! thanks for ur quick responses:) really helpful. well, now my confusion is over regarding what an AOR is...i was thinking AOR is where the BIQ itself calculates ur points and tells u if u have been accepted or rejected. so what exactly is an AOR then? i will tell u in detail now what my situation is....

i had sent my app in dec2011 and received a letter in mid jan saying my file is open. basically it is such type of a letter:
http://img864.imageshack.us/img864/6128/p1050177.jpg

then, like u said the embassy wil send a letter in case any docs are missing ..i received a letter asking for my ielts and french marks sheet.and that if i dont sentd it within 6 months they wil b obligated to close my file. but i sent it way before time.
i sent both my french and ielts general in may..may 15th to b precise.

please can u tell me what will be the next step now?  some people are saying confusing things like the next step will now b a letter saying "whether the emabssy has rejected or accepted" my application...i just need to know the sequence of things..

think u had missed this post of mine to u..please see the attached image and tell me if thats an AOR? thanks..

AOR1 is acknowledgement of receipt, which is what that letter is.
after this the Quebec will calculate your points, and depending on factors will decide whether to call you for an in-person interview or not.
At the interview you will need to carry ur original docs, and they will check you knowledge of french if you have claimed you have some.
If everything turns out fine, they will issue you a CSQ.
Using this CSQ along with Police Clearance Certificates from countries you have lived in, you will apply for Federal Processing.
Here they will issue you AOR2 or request for additional docs. If they issue you an AOR 2, they will send you a request for Medicals along with it.
After this they will make a decision if your application is accepted of declined.  If accepted they will send you a request for your Passport and send it back with a stamped VISA with a validity of 1 year within which you will have to enter Canada and claim yur PR.

yes you will get points for area of training depending when you have got your degree mate.

Thanks Umer. I completed my MCA (Master of computer applications) from a University in India at 2002. Any idea how many points i may get for this. If you are not sure then approximate points will help me.

@  harit79, Thanks a lot for your assessment and comments.

What are total points required to get through.

Also as per your comment "I am not sure about Distance Education, but for Master you will get 12 points
You will get 6 point for AOT
" - What is AOT? and will get 6 points in over and above 12 points OR these are included in 12 points of Masters

If I clear some certification in French, Can I get any points?

Thanks once again dear. God bless you.

 @ vibez_well
If chances of being called to HK for interview are more then I must start now preparing for it.
Yes, CSQ more important than money.. After all one of the intension of fililing application is for better wealth.:-)

mdammalli,
its not uncommon for applicants to be called to HK for the interview. there were many cases in this thread itself who were called to HK - from Ind & Pak. If you get called, dont miss it. money comes and goes.. but an interview for teh CSQ.... well you know the wait for it !  Grin

I dont think you will get any points for AOT since all your degrees are more than 5yr old.

Yes, you are correct, more no of selection mission means more no of applicantions processing.

But,
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/en/divers/Programmation-missions-gensaffaires-lieu-en.pdf
This mission is for business people only I guess.

Really Gr8 News!!!

I can see the following updates.
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/en/divers/Programmation-missions-gensaffaires-lieu-en.pdf

Any ideas Mkshah and other well-wishers  ... More no of selection mission means more number of application processing at a time? What happens if number of mission increases within the same time period? Can please elaborate?

Really a good news... I think they have taken some measure to do the faster processing for huge number of applicants in 2011.
