Hello All,

I have a query on my profile and would appreciate if anyone could clarify it.

I had applied for under QSW (Hong Kong BIQ) during March 2011 and got my AOR during the same month. Post this I was asked by the to provide birth certificates, which were sent the same month, in May. Now I have been awaiting communication from Hong Kong for over 13-14 months, and and not sure why its taking time.

Me and my spouse are emplyed within Banking and IT development respectively. I am not sure if its being delayed due to our occupation not within required right now; or if I had submitted my DELF A1 in Sep 2011 and DELF A2 in Jan 2012, though the rule on mandatory submission of French certificates along with application came into effect during Dec 2011.
If there is  any other reson why the Quebec program is taking time, please let me know and if there is any way i can get to know the exact status of my application.

Thanks

Congrats on your successful landing in Montreal, I'm counting down to doing the same too in a few months time.

I will advise that you do a lot of online search and if possible also enroll with job agency for vaccancy info, however, in the mean time get to know the city and settle in well.

Cheers

 @   mdammalli,
Yes, there is no selection missiin at ND, but indian applicants can be called for interview at HK.

There is 1 mission for HK
Dates: August 27, 2012 to October 5, 2012.

I hope that they will try to cover as many pending applications for BIQ HK in this mission   @   HK.

I sent my application on 27/30-sept-2011 and Aor dates 11-Nov-2011.

What do you fellas think about it? Will I be called for interview in this mission?? Sad Sad

Thanks 4glory,

wish u all d best ...keep us updating about your process!!

Congrats on your MR, that was pretty fast, it means your documents was complete and your VO processing time is fast too.

Richa88 is very correct, family member refers to married couples and their children whether accompanying the principal applicant or not, in your case it's just you that needs to under go the medical exams, do so as soon as possible. Here is wishing you the very best.

As here in UAE and Gulf they are called to Istanbul Office in Turkey

But applications who are not AOT A they are strict with them, I know some getting refused specially from India/Pakistan/philippines

So study french well, to get more points for adaptabilité, because they are giving only 1 point. When you know french at least B1 things will be easy for you in interview

I think 200% acceptance not decided in interview, interview is just formal thing  Grin

 @ francaise
Thank u for your wishes. I think I ended up getting a total of 6 for French (3+3) and 2 for my husband's French (1+1) but I'm not sure; these points sort of add upto the 69 points total that I saw at one point while doing the calculations together. I attended group classes at AF and then switched to private classes at AF so that's why I just produced the letter from my teacher. I forgot to mention in my post that the IO did ask if I've got any certificates for French (AF in my area had to close for a while and all exams were cancelled) and I said no and produced the letter from AF instead. Just continue learning French all the way... as much as you can as this is a really important factor! Good luck!

Congratulations for your CSQ and thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Did you answer each question in french...?
Wish you all the best for federal.

Thank you for your wishes harit79. Yes I was able to answer the questions that the IO asked me in French (like the number of hours that i work, my job duties, etc). Good luck with your application!

Interview   @  HK for India applicants?Huh??  Huh
I never heard before anybody going to HK for CSQ interview..

Seriously I cannot afford in my present situation..  Angry

  @  Mkshah,

Chances are low as I think they are going to call 2011(starting from Jan) applicants for interview and as we know 2011 applications are huge in number.

Well, HOPE FOR THE BEST..
Finger crossed.
