If they've asked you to sign it, then you should probably do that. so take a print, sign, scan and send it back !
All the very best. hope you've polished your francais !

bonne chance !

To All Senior Members,

I received an email yesterday for my interview call in NYC.

I have a question with regards to the email - they have asked me to reply back by signing the letter (which is part of the email) within 5 days confirming the date and time of the interview. Should I just reply back to the email saying that I am confirmed or do I have to print the email and sign it and scan or fax it back to them.

Thanks in advance guys!

Numbers updated as on Apr 02, 2012:
Number of applications received
Immigration subclass    l    Maximum number of
applications from March 21, 2012 to March 31, 2013    l      Number of applications
received up to April 2, 2012

Businesspeople
Investors                        2 700       564 (475 as per last update)
Entrepreneurs or self-employed workers      215      30 (26 as per last update)
Skilled workers Group 2       14 300      To be posted
hello forum members,
As per the new quota system for quebec Immigration, website is updated yesterday with the number of applications received from 20-March-2012 upto 31-March 2012:

Check the link:
www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/applications-received.html

They have updated only business class and enterpreneur class categories.

The main thing I have observed  here is that they have already reached to almost 10% of total quota of application within period of just 10-11 days, so now it can be understood the application load they are receiving now-a-days.

Same thing might be for Group 2 of QSW, so my advice to all who are waiting or preparing their application for QSW Group 2, you must speed up and send your application as fast as you can.

Because, looking at these statistics, it will not be surpeising if  the quota of 14300 will be exhausted by July 2012.

Skilled Worker category is still showing as "to be posted".

read up

The second change would impose a “sponsorship bar”. Sponsored spouses or partners would not be able to sponsor a new spouse/partner for at least five years.

Hello "vibez_well link"..
The English language/proposal is very simple please try to intereprete it well so that, other forum members will understand. And besides, "THANKS FOR THE INFO...GOOD WORK!!!"...
The interpretation is very straight forward, and its valid here in U.S.A. too!!!..What they mean is that if you are sponsored to come and live with your husband/wife, you must stay in that marriage for sometime, and if you deceide to leave your marriage, you can not sponsor another man/woman to be your spouse untill after 5 years...This is to check-mate fake marriages, and they are very common in North America...I think they are copying U.S.standard.

But you did a great research to find this piece of information out....GOOD JOB MY FRIEND!!!

Dear All,

Need some suggestion on QSW, i applied under FSW (Pre Feb 2008) category and now the applications are going to be returned.
I am planning to apply under QSW, i have a Mechanical Engineering degree + 1 year masters degree in Engineering and 5+ years work experience as Project Engineer. I took my IELTS on 2010 November and have an overall score of 8.0.

Do i qualify to apply under QSW? (considering i dont know French).

Hi Friends,

I just spoke to BIQ, Montreal and they say that your DELF language points are locked at whatever level's certificate you send in the application. So that means you can't update your French score later if you give higher levels of French!!!! This is so frustrating!

If I am applying with 49 points, I am going to have to get full 6 points for adaptability in that case, which is IMPOSSIBLE! I don't understand why they can't give more points for higher levels of French proficiency after applying!

It is ok, i just said i received my salary in cash and the interviewer accepted it. But your employment letter should state your salary. This is enough

Hi there Katayoon, why am I unable to PM you? It says Unable to find member 'katayoon'.  Shocked

I am sorry you are one of those persons who were affected by this change, I truly am.  Even though Quebec is a points based system, as at December last year Quebec immigration made the decision that all applications claiming french and english must show evidence by the approved exams.  You may select on the form that you are not submitting a french score...but this will affect you adaptibility points,,,and you may be questioned why Quebec? if you are serious are residing there

Thanks for the info,

so tell me, lets' say i submitted DELF A2 with my application and while waiting I did DELF B1 and B2 and passed I cannot submit those scores?  furthermore if I go to the interview, I cannot carry those scores with me to show the visa officer my willingness and my advancements in mastering French?  This doesn't sound too right and will need further research...because I thought the whole point was adapting and the more you master the language the greater your chances of doing same...

Exactly..it is so frustrating.. the woman on phone told me that 'French score will be given based on the original certificate you submit in your application' and she specifically used the word 'locked' which means submitting higher level certificates later would probably just help you get more points for adaptability but not let you increase your language score.

Hi nevillek, thanks for sharing this info...
but we must not go by any verbal communication..

If possible, can u send an email to biq asking the same thing on mail in written form?
This way it will be more trustworthy and authentic info.
I hope you understand my concern, because if whatever you mentioned is correct then definitely it is very tough for new applicants who are just reaching to interview threshold of 49 pts / 57 pts and and now as you said, if they will not be ablle to get any more points of higher level french exams at later stage, then they must get full 6 pts of adaptability.

Hi,

I've read that if you want to update your french score, you need to cancel your previous diploma then take another exam. For example, you were not able reach the score in your A2 exam, you can retake it but you need to cancel your first exam then you can take another A2 exam.

I will try to look for the link.

Thank you.

Hi,

Please check this:

Can I take an examination more than once? [Close]

Candidates can take examinations as many times as necessary, until they pass. However, they cannot take the examinations for a diploma that they already hold, unless they revoke the existing diploma in writing before the examination session. If a candidate does not pass the diploma on the second attempt, the first diploma will remain invalid.

Here is the link:

Hope this helps.

No idea...I think they could lock it for everyone if that's the rule..

Dear... you are mixing up DELF score and Immigration score... if you fail DELF exam, you can take it again after cancelling your previous result... that has nothing to do with Quebec Immigration... correct me if I am wrong seniors..
