Hi, VickyRocks
If it is possible? that you may collect a letter (salary certificate) from your previous employer. With such a documentry proof, hope no one will ask you, that whether you were paid in cash or by other means.
Please guide what documentary evidence i should have of my previous employer that the salary was paid in cash, which can be justifiable in interview? whereas for the current employer i have all the salary slips and income Tax certificate but for the previous employer no proof of salary. Thanks! The ministry changed the sponsorship requirements. Now the person has to live 5 years in canada before he can sponsor his spouse to come over. The delay is huge. Postponing marriage until PR is obtained means that for the next 5 years the coupl will not live together and after that several years will be wasted on sponsorship. Moreover, nobody guarantees that pr will be obtained within i.e. 2 years. Just look at the huge backlog, people since 2004 are still stuck with application. We can also become one of these. To summarize, if possible, don't postpone marriages, because finding a good spouse is even more difficult than getting perm residence of canada life is short and don't waste it on chasing dreams @ Katayoon..How do you know that it will now take 5 years to sponsor your spouse?...Please there is nothing like that happening ...Let us not mislead other forum members PLEASE

But are you sincere in residing in Quebec or is it you just want to come to Canada?

Javeedji, Can u tell me what it says? It simply means that the CIC took a harsh stance and gave back all applications prior to Feb 2008....applications have been in queue for long periods of time and were not being processed. Files have been sitting in respective visa offices from as early as 2004 possibly before. Since then the CIC introduced a fast track system in 2008 (38 occupations in demand can apply) and again in 2010 (29 occupations and a cap). Under the fast track system, applicants who applied for example in 2010 were admitted to Canada in one (1) year...while others have been waiting since 2004. Keeping the applications in queue came at a cost to immigration officials and thus the harsh stance to return them. Though it is sad news, some of them who are most eligible are urged to re-apply under the PNP category.

what grade did you attain in the IELTS? DELF in itself is valid for life, but Quebec only accepts DELF results for 2 years after the certificate was awarded.

read up. http://www.canadavisa.com/news/entry/proposed-changes-for-spousal-sponsorships-110330.htmlAs Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and the Government of Canada have noticed an increase in the number of fraudulent marriages, they are proposing changes for the Family Class immigration category, specifically for spousal sponsorships.
Under the Family Class category, Canadian permanent residents and citizens are able to sponsor their spouse or common-law partner (non-Canadian) for Canadian permanent residency. Currently, once a spouse/partner lands in Canada as a permanent resident, they are not obliged to stay with their spouse/partner.
The Government of Canada is proposing to impose a “conditional permanent residence” for non-Canadian spouses or partners who have been in a relationship with their Canadian sponsor for two years or less. The newcomer would have to remain in the relationship with their Canadian sponsor for two years upon their arrival in Canada. If the newcomer decides to leave his/her spouse/partner, the permanent residence status would be revoked, which may result in their removal from Canada.
The second change would impose a “sponsorship bar”. Sponsored spouses or partners would not be able to sponsor a new spouse/partner for at least five years.
The Government of Canada is accepting comments from the public regarding the proposed changes for the next 30 days.
Here is another article article on premier cic @ Katayoon..How do you know that it will now take 5 years to sponsor your spouse?...Please there is nothing like that happening ...Let us not mislead other forum members PLEASE

Katayoon, could you provide a valid link where this infomation is found? To be fair, there is an issue where persons may arrange fake marriages to get into Canada, The CIC is aware of this and usually when most persons marry to a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident....They are not given landing documents right away, usually what happens is the couple lives apart for a while, this length of time is deliberately done to tweek out those fake marriages. I have heard cases of couples living apart for 2 years, but not to the extreme you posit of 5 years...could you please provide a valid link for me to peruse and keep for my personal records?

To All Senior Members,
I received an email yesterday for my interview call in NYC.
I have a question with regards to the email - they have asked me to reply back by signing the letter (which is part of the email) within 5 days confirming the date and time of the interview. Should I just reply back to the email saying that I am confirmed or do I have to print the email and sign it and scan or fax it back to them.
Thanks in advance guys!
