Harsha,

Here is a set of sample questions which you should try to learn.

http://www.mediafire.com/?7ktfjp37al81uab

Thank you very much for the information! i am nervous about the interview now as I am not prepared for it at all. I did mention in the file that I know "Basic" french - but honestly have recently started studying.

Few questions:
Tips for preparing for the interview?
How much French should i know to qualify for Basic French?
For the interview date notification - will that be via email or snail mail?

Thanks,
Harsha

i would believe so. since you are going to be evaluated afresh, then if you dont make the cutoffs... there is a chance of getting rejected.

why dont u calculate your points and see if you make the cut as a married applicant. if not, you have to make alternate plans..

defer your wedding and sponsor spouse once you land or something...

@  vibez_well....Thanks, now what if your Federal is already under processing or lets say you are already having the PR?
And also would they schedule withdraw your CSQ if you dont meet the cut-off after getting married?

Your PGPM will be given priority because you have acquired the degree in the year 2009 which is with in 5 years i think so you belong to 2nd group but i am not sure

Hi Omer,

brother, You will get maximum points for experience, whereas u will be placed in group 2 because the degree was rendered in 2009 ..

Hi Guys,

I received a letter from Quebec today, it was dated for 19th March and said the following:

I think this means that I am on the waiting list for the interview, correct?

Has anyone else received such a letter and then how much time it will take for the interview to happen? Also will I get another letter or email notifying my interview date?

congrats harsha for finally getting the attention from BIQ..
When did u applied for CSQ? and how many time it took them to call u?

Hello Brandon,
Congratulations for receiving CSQ and all the best for Federal Part.
If you have a time can you please share your interview experience?
You're very welcome!  I am glad to be able to help where I can - I had difficulty finding help on how to properly prepare for the interview, so I don't want anyone else in the same boat.  I received the interview date letter approximately 1 month after I received the waiting list letter.

Yes my interview just happened on March 23, 2012 and I received my CSQ there Smiley.  My interview was also in NYC at a building in Rockefeller Plaza (I would assume yours will be in the same place).  The officer who interviewed me, his name was Christyan and I am sure you will have him as well (I believe he is the only one who does this currently for the US in New York and he said that he travels on a weekly basis to NYC from Montreal, where he lives).  He is very, very nice!

Hello Friends,
I had applied for quebec immigration and received my AOR in oct 2012
Below are my details

1. Education = Bachelor degree in ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION
2. Area of training = zero marks  Sad
3. Age = 27
4. years of experience= 4 yrs 10  months in IT
5. English = Ielts Listening = 7.5 speaking 7.0
6. french = A1,A2,B1 passed (with more than 16 marks in each section )
8 Spouse- Bachelor

I have below queries .I shall be grateful if someone replies for them

1:- I applied before dec6, and got AOR on oct 2011 . hence I think I will be considered under old rules
I am preparing for DELF B2 .., Will it suffice if i clear it or is it ncessary to get 16 marks in listening ,speaking section.

2:- at time of applying my IELTS score for listening was 7.5  while as per dec 6 rules it should be 8 to get full 3 marks..i feel i be considered under pre dec 2011 rules

3:- I have a doubt if I plan to marry and then add my wife's detail to application too.. will It be considered under post dec6. post march rules...
its big issue as I may loose my case because as per post march changes i will be in group 3 and no immigration for them... I am worried..

4:- at time of application I had not sent any monetary proofs like my accoun statements or deposits etc.. shall i send them now ?

do reply

hi nevillek,
I agree with hec006. Dont waste your time running behind whims of consultants. It will costs you money which you already did, and time, which you can save by doing it by yourself. Forget now about the money you paid, because I never seen any agent refunding money to a person, if he doesnt want to seek consultant's support and wishes to do his application by himself.

Instead do it yourself and take help of forum members here.
Also keep in mind the recent cap introduced by quebec.
During last year 2011 only, they have received approx 60000 applications for qsw, so if you are in group 2, it is very likely that the proposed quota of 14300 will be fille in very quickly even before march 2013.
