yes, CSQ is valid for 3 years and the 1 year period you are mentioning is the period from the issue date of CSQ before which you must submit ur application for PR with CIC.
Pls read below post for more clarity.

Hi xse2573,
If ur federal PR process takes longer than 3 years period from the issue date of CSQ, then u must apply for renewal of CSQ at the end of this 3 year period. It is not a re-apply case, just renewal of CSQ.
But, if you didnt apply for your federal PR within 1 year period from the date of issue of CSQ, and this 1 year is over, then ur CSQ will become invalid. And this will be re-apply case, starting afresh to get CSQ again.

They must be no more than 3 months old when you submit. But nobody knows how lomg they are valid. Everything is at the discretion of viaa offices. Sometimes they ask later for a new one, sometimes they don't

I have been told many times is 1 year....I have a friend whose own is 1 year, I saw and read it with my own eyes yesterday..

As per new rule Business Management fall under group 1 as "Gestion de commerce" or
"Business Management" if this will match with you then you will be awarded 12 points.

...My interview was so easy.....Very, very easy...The guy was so cool and he was so glad to know people like me want to move to Canada with my EXPOSURE and EXPERIENCES, and besides I already have 5yrs multiple visa to Canada, and I have done lots of travelling around the world conducting researches and lots of high standard scientific publications to my name...My interview was like 98% English, although l speak  (English, Swedish, Spanish, German & French), after asking me 2-3 questions in French, he was like waoh...u are an assest....He said they actually wanted to see me in person if l was REAL...Hahahahaha...I have BSc, MSc(Tech) & PhD form Africa, Europe and U.S.A.      

Oh Heaven! your application was super fast! and you are amazing base on what  i read above. You really are an asset!  Congratulations! I hope we will be as  blessed as you are ..

Pls clarify about one thing if you know...
Is this rule going to apply tol old application submitted before 20th march 2012 or this will be applicable for application submitted after 20th march 2012?
You can check previous posts for many members opinion about this topic.

Hi yogie, here I found the application intake data updated on quebec website:

2012 On 21 March 2012, the Minister of Immigration and Cultural Communities has come to a decision regarding the intake of applications for selection certificates (in French, 167 Kb). Pursuant to the decision, the Minister determines the maximum number of applications that some skilled worker candidates will be allowed to submit. This decision is taken pending adoption by the National Assembly of Québec of a bill, as announced by the Minister of Finance in his Budget Speech of 20 March 2012, that would contain a provision, retroactive to 20 March 2012, authorizing the Minister of Immigration and Cultural Communities to make such determination.

so friends,  good news hers is that this decision is still pending adoption, and if adopted it will be retroactive to 20th march 2012 and not for applications processed / submitted before that.

Is my understanding correct here??

Yes. That's the same news that I've posted. Sorry for getting too giddy to post it without looking at the previous pages. So as usual this post have been hotly contested and discussed by the members of this thread. That's just normal though, All application submitted before March 20th 2012 won't be affected. The cap that they've posted mostly applies to those whose job or skills can get 6 points for their AOT. So I wouldn't worry too much if you've already applied or your job is in the priority list.
