Guys,

Is Work Experience compulsory when applying under the Quebec Skilled Worker? Do you have to have it?

Thanks

I wonder if those who got CSQ as a priority (it says priority treatment on the CSQ) will also be treated as priority at the federal level...

hi rgquebec,
pls check on cic website under section "Quebec Selected Skilled Workers".
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/quebec/index.asp
There you will find complete application kit which you need to download and fill as per the instructions.  Also there will be a checklist as per which you must arrange the documents and submit as per the prescribed format.

After getting CSQ, next step will be applying for PR. After you submit your forms for Permanent Residency, first thing you will be getting is your AOR letter. If any document is missing, they will send your PR application and all attached documents back to you.
If they find your application package complete as per their requirement,  it will be transferred to your VO.
Then comes the stage of security checks & backgrounds checks, PCC, medicals, etc.

At this stage you will get Medical Exams Request.

Hi ,

Can somebody help me to know which all forms are to be send to Citizenship office, canada after obtaining CSQ ?
I am a bit confused with the forms....

1 more question -- i'll get the date of medical after sending these forms ...right ?

thank you guys !!!

hi nevillek,
I can understand your situation my friend,
my advice to you is that first of all, dont panic because of your results in A2 exam, Smiley
it is not the end of world.. you can surely take this exam again and as many times you wish to take.... Smiley
second point, dont worry about reaching to the threshold of 55 points with 6 points from adaptability, because interview is too far from now... may be 12-18 months from your AOR date for indian candidates.  also, as per my understanding once you submitted ur language certificates with your application, it doesnt lock your points there itself, at later stage, you can surely update them with the change in your language proficiency ( and they encourage applicants to update them about any changes within 60 days of change Smiley ). so you can still pass A2 exam and B1 exam with higher scores and submit test scores.

and lets think, if it doesnt work this way, and if you could not get full 6 points of adaptability in interview, then also based on your other credentials, they can give you some more time to learn french and again come for interview to show your french skills. It is not that they will reject you straight-way...

so... dont panic... be confident and prepare well for french next level exam Smiley
wish you good luck

Dear mkshah,

Thanks a lot. I am going to start applying now.

Dear pradidas1983,

Your Education Points -   10
Your Area of Training Points -   6
Your Work Experience Points - 8
Your Age Points - 16
Your French Listening Points - 0  (It is suggested to take a French Test result for claiming points)
Your French Speaking Points - 0  (It is suggested to take a French Test result for claiming points)
Your English Listening Points - 2
Your English Speaking Points - 2
Financial Self-sufficiency Points - 1
Total Points - 45

Thanks Javeedislam,

As I understood from various discussions within this forum, English listening and speaking with band 7 will carry 3 points each i.e. total point 3+3 = 6, which adds up 2 points more to the total 45+2 = 47. Also, I am waiting for next DELFA1 exam hopefully it will add another 2 points to my total 47+2 = 49.

My question is, with exactly 49 (single ) point can I go for CSQ application? Will there be any risk of rejection due to such score?

good luck.....!!!

Exactly my concern too. Applying with 49 points means assuming that you will get FULL 6 points in the CSQ interview. It's not very clear. Then again, by the time of your interview, you will have completed higher French levels, increased your job experience, etc. etc. so God knows if they will consider all that in terms of additional points. Nobody really knows. You can just hope and go ahead.

I guess if you(single) qualify with 49 points then there won't be any chance that your application will be rejected officially. But each additional points over score of 49 may increase the chance for faster processing of your file or even you can get your CSQ without any interview.

I need someone from this forum to provide any idea on this.

Well, they mention about a 55 points threshold requirement for a single applicant, which means you're looking at getting 6 out of 6 points for Adaptability in your CSQ Interview. So if they're letting people apply with a minimum of 49 points, I guess they should clearly mention that the applicant MUST get full 6 points for Adaptability. And as far as I've been told, they don't give more than 5 points for Adaptability. This is very confusing and nobody knows the real answer to it I guess. Better to be on the safer side and apply with a few extra points instead. Maybe the experts would be able to answer this better.

hi reeds1989, if you are applying without work experience, then you must be able to get minimum Eligibility points without points for work experience. So you must score minimum 49 pls for single applicant and 57points for a married applicant.
But the main question here is the marketibility of your work skills in interview which you may not be able to show. So your other parameters must be very strong, if you are applying without work experience.
