If anybody completes 1 year information management after the completion of Master degree in Commerce, then he/she will be categorised as Group 1( Business management) or Group 2 ( master in commerce. Which degree will suit best.

B.COM + M.COM + 1 year Post graduate degree in Management ( Economics & IT).

Is it under group 1 or Group 2?

With this new change of groups: please guide me and my husband (principal applicant) for the code in which we will come ap per groups

My husband (PRINCIPAL APPLICANT) completed his CPA (CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT-ie, American Chartered Accountancy) from USA in 2008 after his B.Com (1998) from mumbai. He is pursuing profession related to his field of study (CPA) from last 5 yrs.

Also he has done CISA (CERTIFIED INFORMATION SYSTEMS AUDITOR)-a profession to audit IT department in every company in 2010 but certificate is awaited, n experience is less thn 1 yr in this field till now.

He is working as senior audit manager (internal audit) in a bank from last 3 yrs.

Also I (spouse) completed my MBA (in HUMAN RESOURCES) from IGNOU IN 2011. But no work experience. As per the given link i score 3 points as spouse,also does that mean tht MBA from ignou comes under group 1. please confirm for me from the link for training which you only provided for india.

PLEASE GUIDE US FOR THE TRAINING CODES and GROUP WE COME UNDER.

Im having troubles with field of training section. I have got my degree in international relations / customs law, however haven't worked in this particular field at all. Instead I have got 3+ years experience in computer game development (system analyst). How many points can I claim for this?

My spouse is college teacher by eduction and has worked as both teacher (5+years) and interpreter (1+ years). How many points can she earn for that?

We both got our degrees outside Canada.

I am a new member at this forum. I need your expert advice about my calculation of points for the Quebec Skilled Worker Program. Here are my details:

Applicant:
1. Education = Masters Business Administration (2 Years) and Bachelor in Computer Engineering (4 years)
2. Area of training = Worked as a Software Engineer , Sr. Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Manager Software Development. ( Currently I am working as a Sr. Software Engineer/Lead for around 2 Years).
3. Age = 33 - ( 16 Points )
4. Years of experience= 9+ years (Computer Engineering/Information Technology/Software Development )
5. English = IELTS (Listening = 7.0 speaking 6.0 writing 6.5 reading 6.5). This test was given almost 2.5 years ago. Do i need to give the IELTS again?
6. French = 0    (I don't know french but if there is any requirements for the points I am willing to learn and also to settle in Quebec, French will be required)

Spouse :
7. Spouse Education = Masters in Computer Science(2 years) and B.Sc Mathematics (2 years)
8. Area of training = Software Quality Assurance ( Computer/ Information Technology/Software Quality Assurance)
9. Years of experience = 2 years
10. Spouse Age = 31 years
11. English = 0
12. French = 0
13. Dependent children = 1
14. Age = 2 years
15. Funds = I can meet the funds
16. Relatives = None
17. Stay in Quebec= None

I am confused with the Area of Training part. And there is nothing mentioned in the Evaluation on the Quebec Immigration website about the points calculation. It just says " You seem to be eligible for the Program". Even if I select none in English.

If there are any valuable suggestion from experts. Please feel free to advice how can I improve my points.

You are welcome. Apply ASAP. Try to learn French to the extent of your effort. If you have claimed marks in French and English try to get DELF and IELTS cert as fast as you can. Try to remember that your master degree 1 year acquired after 17 years will not put you in Grp 1 category and will not give you master degree education point, bcoz your Bachelor is in Mechanical and not in business management. So u have to apply throgh your bachelor degree which is in Grp 2.

I have almost finished my application, except for the label part.. here is the query-

LABELS
If your language does not use the Latin alphabet, you must provide three labels with your
mailing address:
• One label in French
• Two labels in the official language of your country


Do i need to send a label in french ?? the other two lables i can send in English...

May I ask what group do Registered Nurses taken up a 4-year Bachelor of Science in in Nursing course completed outside Quebec in April 2008 having 3-4 years of experience be classified?

Group 1, Group 2 or Group 3?

hi hec006, As per my understanding, if degree is taken outside quebec, then 1 year masters degree in business managemment will not help applicant to be in group 1.
Master of commerce is in group 2, so this applicant will be placed in group 2.
