I am very happy to share the news - today (06 March 2012) I got my first AOR sent by regular mail!
No i have my file # and ID #

Also i've got a lot of question to you, guys

As I've  recently changed my name and passport, I have to pass this information to the office (Vienna)
how do I do it? Is there any special form for that?
and where should I indicate my file or my id number so they attach the docs to my file?

Congratulations on your first AoR, really happy for you, shows your file is moving.

Meanwhile can you please let me know when you submitted your application, i did since nov last year and haven't yet recieved mine. It will help me take action, maybe attempt contacting them.

Do we need to put IELTS result original in file?

Hello,

          You must forward the Original doc of your lanuguage proficiancy along with file itself. if you are going to claim ( french and english) point, i have just suffered,  my file returned to ask me to provide the original doc and i did the same.

It is very sad to hear that ur application is returned. No need to worry at all. You can surely correct / update the missing details and re-submit ur application.
 
Pls check below points for getting ur file returned.
The reason for this are:
Firstly, If u dont wish to claim points for language proficiency, then you may have missed to tick the relevant box in the question of language proficiency in your "application for selection certificite".

Secondly, if u wish to claim the points for language proficiency then, u must provide all the necessary details of language tests asked in the application for selection certificate and further to this, for applicants post 6th dec 2011 must enclose language certificates if he/she wish to claim points for language proficiency.

It seems that u missed either of this, so ur application is returned.

So now what u can do is... Fill a fresh application form for selection certificate for u and ur spouse following the above suggestions and as per the letter sent by them.

Thanks for advice, I have forwarded file along with ielts and french original doc. i have read out carefully new version of guide book published after 6th dec, clearely written that must submitt original doc if you claim point . it was written in paper which was forwarded by the authority to submitt the original doc. i need to correct some info in file  but could not do as it was scan by them

I calld BIQ Paris today but the answering machine kept telling me to hold on for the next available agent and my call was not received by any agent.

Also another friend experienced the same thing.I hope anyone has been able to contact BIQ Paris via phone recently.

Kindly update me if there is any change on how to contact them via phone,because BIP Paris seem to have become so difficult to contact through phone.I hope we know that this is not experienced from other BIQs.

Apart from someone's time being wasted while holding on,no one picks up the call at the end.

I pray Paris lives up to heir responsibilities.

(Total required score for Quebec is 63, including point of interview)

I have consulted with immigration lawyer, and he said I should apply with french score. Otherwise it may negatively affect my application, in spite of score of 63.

I have no time to learn french, and do not want to delay my application.

Will it create problem, If I apply without french, and do not claim point for that?
 I will learn french mean while, and explain the whole stuff, if they invite me for interview.

all recent applications must include ielets exam and french exam(TEFAQ..) otherwise your file wont be processed but you will be asked to send your french exam results within 60 days or your application will be denied.. btw high french grade is not a must to receive your CSQ so do the exam even if with basic french skills..

Hello All,
            I've used David Cohen's law firm to file my QSW, they have mapped me to a NOC 2147 which is more of a hardware engineer profile, where as all my career i have been a software engineer.
 
I'm of the opinion that the NOC codes 2173 is more precise for my current role as a Technical architect. I have also performed roles equivalent to a Project manager for 4 years which then maps me to NOC 0213.

I'm not very knowledgeable person in these specifics. Could anyone of you throw some light on the below questions ?

1) Whether NOC mismatches like mine, cause any problem during in QSW interview or later during job search/employment with a potential Quebec employer.
2) Will the Visa Office entertain any such changes at this moment will it cause any delays ?

1. Do I need to go to Canadian Embassy in Hong Kong for me to file my application or Can I submit it through courier?
2. How long does it take for me to wait before the result for my application on Certificat de selection du Québec in Hong Kong be released?
3. What relevant documents should I submit along with my application?
4. Do I need to provide my bank statement along with my application for Certificat de selection du Québec?
5. Is it necessary for me to submit French Language examination or IELTS alone will do?
6. Can I still apply for Federal Skilled Worker program while waiting for the result of my application for Certificat de selection du Québec?

You don't need to include the original IELTS within your file, you must ask British Council to send it to the Canadian Embassy! you van include copies only and writ eon them original to follow via BC.

I think earlier notarised photocopies were acceptable. but now you have to submit originals.
