Congratulations ABMIR for getting your CSQ. Wishing you all the best for Federal PartHello Guys, Sorry about the late response about the interview update,as we came back to London last night.The interview was on Tuesday 14/02/12 at 1430, we got there at 1300,as they were closed for lunch we have to wait outside and believe me it was freezing.we spend our time talking to someone coming for the interview as well,they opened the door at 1330 and we went at the reception,there the lady behind the counter checked our interview convocation letter and our passports and she confirmed us on the system.Then begin the long wait,we have to wait hour an a half,we were called at 1500.The good things is the waiting room was quite relaxing,there was a few books on Quebec and there was a TV screening the nice scene of the belle province.the door opened and that's it our turn.The lady was about in her late forties,she did welcome us and asked us for all the original papers(certificates,employments letter,pay slips)she left the room for a couple of minutes,when she came back my God she start checking one by one,the interview was 99.9% in French,it was not that difficult for us but after living in UK for 8 years its obvious we lost a bit of our French skills.She asked everything about starting from our education any gaps why is that,what have you done between these gaps and works,described everything though.Ant then the famous question why Quebec,any work there,what s our intention in Quebec and talked about Quebec the city,the employment,she checked one by one our work search in Quebec,She check our English proficiency,and then that's it she said OK ill give your CSQ and welcome to Quebec,the interview last one hour, one more thing she asked us a trap question,despite we speak French,she said our English is much better why we chose Quebec,we said because Quebec have more opportunities and its life is cheaper there. That's it really ,hope this help the future people going for interview,anything you guys might need just pm us. GOD BLESS Abmir

Hi All,
I am very interested in applying for Immigration to Quebec. My wife had visited Premiers in Dubai for application processing. After reading the feedback about Premiers in this forum, i have decided to apply it by myself. In terms of the document checklist - pls confirm if anything else needs to be done
1. Application Form - i guess this is straight forward 2. Fee 3. Required Appendices
- Declaration by a candidate in a profession governed by a professional order in Quebec ? - How do you do get this ?
4. CV is fine
5. Studies and Training - Certified photocopies 6. Proficiency in French and English ( Straight forward) 7. Work Experience 8. Family Relationship - my wires uncle lives in Vancover - will that be counted 9. Statutory Documents - I don't have a date of birth certificate - I am an Indian - how do I get one ?

Hi!
Apologies as could not be available due to hectic work schedules. This post is for all who intend to appear for TEFaQ examinations in India.
TEFaQ is conducted only in AF Trivandrum if there are a minimum of 4 students available for appearing in the exam. The next schedule is for March. The cost of the examination is around 10,000 INR. The problems are;
a) The cost of the TEFaQ is 10,000 INR. Add to this the flight expenses another 10,000 (return flight from Mumbai - check for local prices from your city). Add to this another 5,000 INR for your accomodation and food for atleast one night (on the higher side). That makes it a total of around 25,000 INR for 2 days. Think about the expense! A DELF A1 & A2 exam will cost only 6,000 INR (if you are appearing as an external student).
b) The results take around 2 months to arrive from Paris if you appear in March, 2012 which means you will get your results by June, 2012. The next exams for DELF are in May, 2012 which means you are only a month behind the TEFaQ exam.
c) The advantage of TEFaQ over DELF is that TEFaQ only has listening and speaking as part of the examination as compared ot listening, reading, writing and speaking for DELF.
That's it for me. I have decided to go with the DELF exams in may as it might prove costly to appear for TEFaQ. Others can decide for themselves for the same. Get in touch with AF Trivandrum at the earliest in case you want to enrol for the March examination schedule.
Regards,
Hokaito

hi hokaito, This is quite useful info for all qsw applicants applying from India. Surely AF-New Delhi and AF-Mumbai arrange for TEF and TCF but not TEFaQ. I myself have search so much for this info previously when I was confused for which test to take between the two tests: DELF or TEFaQ. And finally I decided on DELF, because I could not find any test centre in India for TEFaQ. But thanks anyways, it will be helpful now also.. +1 for you Hi!

Infact AF Colombo was much more helpful than the other too and what i have analysed is that travelling and staying in Colombo is quite cheaper than travelling to Delhi or Trivandrum... Bonne Chance... Hokaito.

I live in Mumbai and currently enrolled for A1 classes which started from 9th Jan. But i have been to Colombo a couple of times and know the city quiet well. The cost for trivandrum is what i have informed you in my post posted earlier. You can consider the same cost for colombo. Regards, Hokaito
