I understand but how do we know that the profession we belong to is in the list of demand or not...is there a defined list...Huh

Hi Maria_Sal,

Yes there is a List of areas of training you can find it here:
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/permanent-workers/official-immigration-application/requirements-programs/list-areas-training.html

And List of preferred areas of training, you can find it here:

I got csq today in Paris.

The interview was based on the application form. First, we talked about my education and experience and the interviewer examined originals. Then she asked me questions about adaptability e.g. Why Quebec? Why Montreal? What kind of jobs you will look for? What are the social values of Quebec? How many companies in your field are there in Quebec?
The interviewer may also doubt your documents. She was wondering why my experience is not related to my degree and whether I am qualified to do the job. I calmly explained that this profession is not authorized in my country as strictly as in Quebec and she agreed.

The interviewer was typing answers most of the time which allows you to relax and concentrate on your discourse.

The interview was all in French except one sentence to verify my English.

I did not have test results with me as it was not mandatory when I applied in march 2011.

One more interview tip: for those doing phd with scholarship take also your award letter to prove your scholarship. My interviewer asked me this document and I only had it by pure chance with me, a photocopy.

Many thanks for all your kind congratulations.

Hi Members,

Iam exactly qualifying the 57 points thershold under married for QSW without claming the points for french but with ielts score. So my concern is all about filing an application without french points.

Assume,if i submit without the DELF results with the application, once if I pursue DELF a1, a2 and so on and later in stage i cannot claim the points for french right? So whatever we are attesting with the application that is only considerable right.

Also, during adaptability, i may/may not 100% successful in awarding 6 points.Following which i may/may not score 63 thershold. So unless i score 63 they wont issue selection certificate right?

So understanding the problem, sincerely requesting all other senior members for their personal opinions on filing an application without french points or wait till achieving points on delf a1, a2 and so on to make my case strong.

Many thanks for your valuable time.

Hi kps2011, did you submit your application forms to Quebec Immig? I'm taking French course now; planning to include only cert that I've just started it because french test will be Sept only. Kindly let me know how's going with you 'til now.

Hi MKShah,

How did you get that NOC code on your profile? hi katayoon, you can get the complete list of NOC codes along with job description on HRSDC website. I updated  that NOC code here on canadavisa forum by updating my profile page on the forum.
Do you have a skill that is part of the preferred training areas? well, my education is Master degree in CHEMISTRY, and it is in priority, but I am working with Life Insurance company as Full Time training professional faculty. So could not decide if it is in priority or not. Smiley

Hi Maria_Sal,

Thanx osama it was certainly a good piece of information for me.
Unfortunately our application is not falling under preferred list and we score exact 57 points with no french language knowledge.
is it going to b tough for us to qualify. in case of interview call how much time is on hands to learn french frm the interview call date....or should we begin learning french through a course now itself...i mean my concern is wht if the application is rejected without any interview call... Cry

hi geribubaboy,
For this, pls check posts of one thread "Buffalo 2nd AOR- between 15th april to 15th May".
There you can read reply of onee member sxFSW for my query regarding doing medicals in advance. As per this post, you can save time of atleast 2 months by doing medicals in advance. Of course he was talking about time saved for FSW application, but surely u can save some weeks for qsw also. Just read it and you can put forward ur query on that thread.
Wish u good luck buddy Smiley

Thank you very much mkshah,

I also wish for you and everybody here to get good news because I know what does it mean that wait for a sign from the VO.
Sorry but I am ignorant of this inquiry about medicals in advance. Could you explain a little bit further about this my friend?

Thanks and GOOD LUCK

You definitely can re-apply, but this time and as per the new rules you need to submit french and english test result if you want to claim points for language proficiency.

What level of french did you claim in your application? Maybe you declared more than you were able to speak.

Which visa office was that ?

Were you having the minimum required passing points ?
