Hi mkshah, hi talk2melas, thanks for reply buddy. SmileyI read that if you leave Canada without getting your PR card, then you will need to reapply for entry visa. pls can u locate the source of this info. B'cos, i read somewhere that after landing, my card will be sent to an address which may be of my friend or a relative and they can send me this PR card. And surely I can leave canada, immediately after completing landing formalities too.But once you have your PR card, you can come and go as you like yes, that I am aware about Smiley, but for how much duration It is mandatory to stay in slab of 4 years to maintain  PR status.but I think you must stay in Canada and average of 6 months or so in a year to maintain your PR status.

I am not sure about your AOT points i.e is 6 points. If it is not fall in list than 43 points.

Thank you so much for your time in reading and answering my query

Hi mkshah,

Master degree in Mechanical Engineering will be eligible for 6 points in AOT, if the master degree is completed within 5 years, but work experience in IT, not in mechanical. In the AOT PDF file, what is the meaning of Bachelor degree, master degree is also eligible?

Thanks

Hi mkshah,

Master degree in Mechanical Engineering will be eligible for 6 points in AOT, if the master degree is completed within 5 years, but work experience in IT, not in mechanical. hi hec006, you will not get points for AOT if your degree is older than 5 years, because your work exp in it is not related to your education of Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. So you will not get this 6 points. but surely you will get points of education corresponding to education of Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. but if you have got your degree in last 5 years, so surely you can get points for AOT as well as points for education. In the AOT PDF file, what is the meaning of Bachelor degree, master degree is also eligible? yes
Thanks

dear seniors and forum members,
I need ur advice for this.
I have read somewhere that after getting PR, applicant can return to his home country immediately after his landing.
Is that correct info?
In that case where will the PR card be delivered?
And suppose, some one stays in quebec till he gets PR card and returns to his home country, is this allowed?
Also, after going to home country, within how much time he need to return to canada?
Hello mkshah,
Here is a link on PR FAQ's. It may be of use to you.

hi Raj,
If u r applying after 6th dec 2011, then u must attach ur language test results with application for csq. This is what website says. They have not mention about whether they will accept the test result of higher level at a later stage.
But what I think is that, this change is done by MICC to reduce the increased number of applications for qsw mainly due to cap of 500 and less number of occupation in FSW.
So, by this way now only those candidates can send their applications who are ready with result of french/english tests or those who are reaching to threshold without this language points.
also, they have never mentioned this, that applicant cannot update his french language results as later stage. In fact they advice applicants to keep them updated about any change in status during the entire period of processing. So I think you can surely send results of higher level of french language to get more points after sending initial application. Just that if u want to claim points for language proficiency, you must include result of language tests with your application for selection certificate.

Oui !!!  Vous etes droite mkshah. Merci beaucoup

Hai,

I pass A1 with less than 16/25 in listening and 17/25 in speaking so I will get 1 point from that according to new rule.

But I think I will pass A2 level  with 16/25 in speaking and listening so according to new rule I can get 6 points   from A2 level.

But my confusion is that if I want to get 6 points then will I have to get 16/25 in listening and speaking in A1 level too?Huh??

In addition,I had submitted my file for canada under 1122 category as operation manager and my profile matches with account profile also so can I continue with the same designation(Operation Manager)for quebec under accounting experience to claim the points of area of training?Huh??

GOOD NEWS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE WAITING FOR FRENCH RESULT FROM DELF IN AHMEDABAD OR GUJARAT WITHIN TWO OR THREE DAYS.

Dear Fellows ,

A bad news to share with you all. All those applied around Aug,2011(including those received AOR) would not be called for interviews. I confirmed the same by writing to BIQ Hkong and got the reply in email. I am not sure of those who applied earlier as I was replied for my case which I applied in Aug,2011.

Needless to say we all need to wait for almost a year or more to get interview calls.

In case needed you may write to BIQ Hkong and confirm the same.

Best of Luck to all

Thanks

Hello guys,

I am a French-English Bilingual. In fact, I am a native French speaker (1st language, my education up to the University was done in French) and pursued my university education in English and obtained 3 university degrees in the US.

My question is the following: Would I need to take any test in either French or English to show my language abilities? In the event I do not have to take any tests, do I need to include anything to my application besides copies of my diplomas and transcripts?

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone

I wanted to know is there a way through which quebec government assess the educational qualifications for awarding points. I heard that there is a process through which the applicant needs to send his original educational certificates to the assessing authorities by courier. The authorities will then revert back to you.

If this is true and if someone has followed this process, I need to know:

-What are the charges?
-How much time it takes?
-Where am I supposed to send those certificates?

Please reply if anyone knows about this...??

This is not the same that you have asked in your post. Obtaining an Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec is not for awarding points. Please read the content in the link carefully which you have mentioned in your post.

@ dionmanu, according to the new rules, you have to show test result in order to claim points for either French or English language. Also, your educational transcripts are part of the appendice of your CSQ application.

Hi Varun
Kindly elaborate little bit more, what you mean “would not be called for interviews”
Not at all?
Not for the moment?
Is this only for BIQ Hong Kong or for all other offices too?
Thx for info.

Well ,

We certainly dont expect "not at all" scenerio , may be we would  be called sometime in future but upon my inquiry on whether I would be included in BIQ Hkong India, New Delhi mission here was what they had to say :

"Your file is still undergoing analysis. Please be patient. You will
receive a letter from us as soon as the following decision is made
regarding:

*The outcome of the preliminary review of your application

You will not be included in our mission in India this time.
